I ordered 2 bake elements and bulbs and was able to easily fix 1 of the ovens. The serviceman who repaired the left oven did not repair it correctly so, one of the wires was not accessible so, I could only fix one oven. After shutting off the power, I EASILY fixed the right oven - with a LOT of care and a little elbow grease - in disconnecting the broken element, by doing exactly as it said to in the video, making certain not to allow the wires to slip back into the hole that it was pulled... Ordered main control board and top blower. parts arrived as expected and well packaged. replaced main control board. Took two times to get ribbon cable inserted and aligned correctly. display functioned properly, but blower still not turning. replaced upper blower. everything working now. Read more

Removed 2 sheet metal screw pulled element out about 2 inches. Removed two Spade connections. Removed the element from the oven. Inserted the new element into the over, connected the two spade connector. Reinstalled the two sheet metal screws. Set the oven to bake for testing and tested until the element turned red. Replaced the burner Infinite switches for the burners having the issue. Here are the latest part numbers for this model Maytag. Left rear (LR) and right rear (RR) burners are both 6" and use the same switch. Part # WP3149404. Left front (LF) is an 11 1/2" burner Part# W10167742. So I ordered the burner and Ithe switch because I wasn't sure what part was defective. I pulled the oven out and I removed the 6 1/4 inch screws on each side of the glass top as well as the 2 Phillips head screws on the back, removing the 2 1/4 screws on the shield on the back gIves you easier access to them, then lifted the glass top up on the front to access the switch and burners. My new cooktop cartridge for my Jen-Air cook range works great. The range is probably around 40 years old. The old two-burner cartridge just plain wore out! It was a simple process to enter the model number of our glass cook top stove; learn the part number required and order. It arrived in 2-days -- least expensive shipping method. The cooktop was removed with a Phillips-head screwdriver by 4 small sheet metal screws on the right and left side of the oven. The oven's power to the cooktop was easily disconnected via two "clips" and one ground. Would have cost way more with an appliance repair shop and it's an easy do-it-yourself repair. Read more

Turned off breaker to oven, took pictures of existing broil, supporting bracket and shield attached to oven, removed screws holding element, support piece and shield, removed bracket and shield, pulled out the element, took another close-up picture of the wires connected to element, removed wires, connected new element, turned breaker on to see if connection is correct, turned it off, installed element, shield and support bracket (in this order). I was able to clean the Oven Temp Sensor with 99% alcohol. Then replaced All switches (after breaker was isolated). Put it all back the way I found it. Turned on breaker. Tested all functions and had no reports of Fan Code re-appearing since. Read more

I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door. I wanted to get the upper oven baking element replaced; it hasn't been working for a few months. This double oven has had two other issues, there is a fan that comes on to cool the electronics panel, That fan has made excessive noise and it operates for 2-3 hours after the oven turns off. The other problem with the oven is the Self-Cleaning feature runs for about 15-30 minutes and then turns off with an error code.
