This is the replacement cooktop, also called the main top, for sealed-burner gas units. It forms the cooking surface around the burners to contain spills, restore appearance, and keep grates and burner parts seated securely for safe, even heating.
After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. This kit includes the orifice spuds and components needed to convert a natural gas range to liquid propane (LP) operation. The orifices regulate the gas flow to the surface burners for proper flame size and safe combustion.
