Maytag Cooktop Parts

I was able to order new hinge receiver brackets for the door. The repair was not that bad. I just had to take off the lower door, take the two trim pieces off the sides and unscrew the screws holding the oven into the face of the cabinet. Then slide it out about halfway and put a step stool under the front to keep it from tipping over. Replaced igniter under each burner knob. Used needle nose pliers to remove the electrical connections (2) of the igniter then slipped it off the gas valve shaft. Replaced with new igniter (click in place) and replaced electrical connectors. Took about 15 minutes to complete. Read more

JennAir does not make this part anymore, but Whirlpool has a replacement. After checking several online sites, AppliancePartsPros had the best price and very reasonable shipping costs. After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. It was an easy repair to swap out the new parts for the old, and the only tool necessary was a #2 phillips screw driver.
