Opens to protect electronics when current exceeds its 1A rating
Check this part if the washer has no power, the control panel is dead, or it won't start
A blown fuse will test open for continuity
Repeated failure points to an underlying short or component fault that must be fixed

Change out the Rotor Position Sensor (RPS). There is an excellent internet video showing step by step how to remove and replace the RPS. It makes the job much easier. I believe that the new RPS solves most of the problem. Read more
