Color: gray. The back part of the knob measures about an inch in diameter, and the front part with the handle is about 2 inches in diameter.
Very easy to install the new knob. Mine had broken and the metal sleeve was still attached to the selector shaft. The sleeve was easily removed with a pair of needle nose pliers and the new knob slid right in place. Read more

First I used epoxy which I do not recommend since it can interfere with the later replacement of new knobs. The replacement of new knobs went easily with the exception of getting the epoxy off.
