Color change went from black to stainless steel Wayne J. • Harleysville , PA • January 12, 2019
Very smooth. I ordered the door and the control panel. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands when removing the screws from the door or place something under it so it doesn’t drop. The door comes off with about 10 screws. They are different length. Short screws go into steel, long go into plastic. Remove the door and upper facia/control panel. You’ll need to disconnect the wires. The panel has two parts that need to be transferred. 1. The electronic panel. It’s white and has a row of...

Failed heating element in circulation motor / heater assembly Wayne S. • Georgetown , TX • March 14, 2021
This was to address an E:09 fault code on a Bosch dishwasher. I swapped out the Circulation motor and heater assembly. The video given on APP.com was for a different model, but more or less the same. The video gave me confidence enough to order the part and attempt it. The significant difference was that in the video, the assembly is easily accessible from the bottom of the unit. On my unit, however, the bottom is a closed plastic pan that isn't easily removable, likely requiring removal of the...

The Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers that is responsible for controlling the flow of water into the dishwasher at the start of each wash cycle. The water inlet valve opens to allow water to enter the dishwasher and then closes to ensure the correct amount of water is used during the cycle.
Symptoms of a bad Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve include:
- Inadequate water filling the dishwasher.
- Overfilling, which can cause leaks and potential water damage.
- Unusual noises coming from the valve area.
- The dishwasher not starting.
Causes of a bad water inlet valve can vary from mineral buildup from hard water, which can block the valve, to mechanical failure or wear and tear over time. Electrical issues can also affect the valve's operation, preventing it from opening or closing properly.
This OEM Bosch part can also be used on Thermador and Gaggenau appliances.

Bosch shem78w55n dishwasher leaking from bottom pan Francis S. • Vermillion , SD • May 26, 2020
Leak was slow but becoming gradually worse. Pulled dishwasher out from under counter then visually inspected sump while it ran. As soon as the water got very hot, I could see the sump leaking where it meets the stainless pan. Searched for the correct sump gasket without success. Turns out that the gasket is built into the sump for this model. The built-in gasket is very narrow (under-engineered IMHO which is probably why it developed a leak). Thanks to Simon's excellent videos at...

Drain pump Benjamin E. • Pittsburgh , PA • July 26, 2022
I spent a lot of time taking apart and cleaning the drain pump and hoses in my Bosch dishwasher. I still got the error that the drain pump wasn't right. So, after doing some research, I learned that the motor might be done and that seemed to be the only solution.
I serached for my part on APPs.com and found the part for about $43 ($50 by the time tax and shipping was added in). The part was ordered, shipped and was on my doorstep in two days.
I followed the repair video instructions provided...

Door gasket was deteriorating leaving black marks on anything that touched it. Janice C. • Piney Flats , TN • August 26, 2023
We replaced the black door seal gasket around the front of the dishwasher. The old black seal gasket had begun to deteriorate, every time it was touched black stuff would rub off onto hands and onto utensils in the upper basket. We wore some disposable gloves to remove the old seal to avoid getting the black stuff on our hands. Before entirely removing the old seal gasket we studied its placement to tell which way the new seal gasket should be placed. We didn’t want to place the seal gasket...

Could not shut door without jiggling middle shelf because at align connections between spray arm and tube. James R. • Jacksonville , FL • May 25, 2020
Replaced both the Spray Arm and the Spray Arm Water Supply Tube.
Highly recommend replacing base plate whenever the Spray Arm Water Supply Tube is replaced. Plastic tabs on the base plate hold those parts together and are likely to break (as seen on Appliance Parts Pros installation video!!!). I sensed tab weakness so just transferred parts needed from the new tube to the old tube and reinstalled the original tube / base plate assembly rather than risk breaking those plastic tabs. I should...

E15 error code: water distributor leaking Robert R. • Englewood , FL • August 28, 2021
Found root cause of water distributor leak: White plastic shaft that goes through the red double lip seal in center of water distributor housing was worn. A groove was worn into shaft ~ 90 DEG around. This short shaft connects motor to distributor wheel. When cycle called for water distributor motor to do its thing, water would leak into bottom of machine, raise the float and trigger E15. Was thrilled that Appliance Parts Pros had the exact assembly I needed. An invaluable aid was the YouTube...

My child fell on the open dishwasher door, causing the door to overextend when open and not close properly. Karen F. • Las Vegas , NV • May 25, 2019
It was surprisingly easy to remove the door, remove the hinges, then install the new hinges. On my model, the right hinge has a wiring harness attached, but I just removed from the old hinge and attached it to the new one. You need to be careful about moving the door too far the the cabinet because of attached wires. I needed a torx bit for the screws and a flathead screwdriver for prying the hinges off their pins. Also, a needle-nose pliers helped for pinching the wiring harness clip to...
