Bosch shem78w55n dishwasher leaking from bottom pan Francis S. • Vermillion , SD • May 26, 2020
Leak was slow but becoming gradually worse. Pulled dishwasher out from under counter then visually inspected sump while it ran. As soon as the water got very hot, I could see the sump leaking where it meets the stainless pan. Searched for the correct sump gasket without success. Turns out that the gasket is built into the sump for this model. The built-in gasket is very narrow (under-engineered IMHO which is probably why it developed a leak). Thanks to Simon's excellent videos at...

The Sump to Water Inlet Hose is an OEM replacement part for Bosch dishwashers. This hose provides a pathway connecting the dishwasher's sump and water inlet valve. It allows the sump to fill with water during different dishwashing cycles, facilitating key functions like rinsing, spraying cycles, and final rinses. Proper connection between these components via this hose is required for the dishwasher to operate efficiently.
Causes of a faulty sump to water inlet hose include cracking, leaking, or kinking over repeated use and cycles. Hoses can become damaged due to pinching in the dishwasher or exposure to high water pressures over time.
Symptoms of a bad sump to water inlet hose include:
- Incomplete filling of the sump during the cycle
- Erratic water pressure
- Leaks from the hose connection points
- Loud knocking sounds from within the dishwasher
This replacement part is also compatible with some Thermador, Gaggenau, and Kenmore models.

I got E15 code occasionally i would slide it out and dry out with some paper towels and it would be fine again for a few months Vincent G. • Buffalo , NY • August 13, 2018
It finally gave E15 code, then after drying out the E15 code came back within 5 minutes of running. I dried out the base then I ran the dishwasher and observed water coming down the overflow chute after running only 5 minutes. There is a water inlet (clear water chamber on the side of the machine). It had some gunk inside that was stopping a black float shut-off from moving. I replaced the water inlet chamber. I also suspected the non return valve (also called a check valve). From the parts...

A door spring (actually the connector rope) broke on one side of our dishwasher making it feel heavy hard to close and easy to "drop" (potentially damaging the door hinges) Roger B. • Winston-Salem , NC • September 29, 2018
Checked out the AppliancePartsPros.com online parts/assembly diagrams for our Bosch dishwasher model and ordered the two sided set of new springs + connector ropes + connector-to-door ... plus a couple of other relatively inexpensive adjoining parts that might have become worn over time, just in case they were needed. The extra parts arrived in two days with standard shipping. Called about the "back ordered" primary set of parts (which had been listed as being "in stock" when I placed the...

Stuck on 1 minute moldy and white film on dishes. Ben W. • Vienna , VA • January 01, 2018
On my Bosch she55m15uc/64, the cycle would take 3-4 hours, with the machine stuck on "1 minute" for a long time. The interior was getting moldy and smelly, and the dishes had a white film. At first, I thought it was the heater relay on the control board, but I pulled that relay and it seemed to be working. I could get an ohmmeter on the heater element without taking the bottom off the dishwasher, and the resistance was infinite. Replacing the heater did the trick.
On my unit there was a...

The Turbidity Sensor is an OEM part for Bosch dishwashers. It is a component located inside the dishwasher that plays a key role in monitoring water quality during each wash cycle. Symptoms of a bad turbidity sensor include:
- Inconsistent or inadequate cleaning performance

- Error codes displayed related to water issues
This genuine OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and select Kenmore models.

Bosch dishwasher would not stay on and water remained in bottom of washer Bob F. • Theodosia , MO • April 01, 2022
Ordered and replaced sump pump, backflow preventer valve and turbidity sensor on Bosch dishwasher. The latter two parts were recommended when ordering the sump pump and did need replacing. The videos showing how to remove and replace each part are great. The project went well and the dishwasher is fixed for less than 1/4 of what it would cost to get a repairman out here. In all fairness we do live in a remote location and do not have any local appliance repairmen. This is the third project I...

Missing a part that was difficult to identify Tom D. • Aptos , CA • July 15, 2016
A part was missing from a dishwasher purchased from a company that was going out of business. The part did not appear on any diagrams provided with the machine. I contacted Appliance Parts Pros. They found an obscure diagram that showed the part, identified the part, and tracked it down for me. The part was priced reasonably and shipped quickly. Highly...
