This was Kenmore front load washer made by LG. Model 796.41302610
First, AppliancePartsPros.com has been great. This is my fourth time using them. Staff, DIY comments, and videos are all very helpful. Always ended up with the right part and received next day. The machine made an odd noise on start-up. I ran diagnostics. Had a problem finding how to do diagnostics since the instructions in the manual were wrong. Found the correct process on YouTube. Needed to hold the spin and soil buttons...

The Damper is an OEM replacement part for LG washing machines. It plays an important role in regulating airflow through the machine's drying system. The damper uses adjustable louvers to direct warm air emitted during the drying cycle.
Causes of a faulty washer damper include broken internal mechanisms preventing louver movement, and restricting optimal air dispersion. Dust or mineral buildup can also impact function over time.
Symptoms of a problematic damper are
- incomplete or lengthy drying cycles.
- Clothing may still feel damp even after an extended run
- Excessive lint accumulation could also point to improper air management
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

I was cleaning the supply hose filter screen constancely, I had no Idea there was filter screens in the pump intakes on the machine. once I found them and replaced them, I had plenty of water, so don't buy supply hoses with the screens in them until you check to see if your machine has them already.

The Clamp is an OEM part for LG washing machines. It is used to secure the hose connections within the washer, ensuring that water flows correctly without leaks.
Over time, the clamp can become worn or damaged due to repeated exposure to water, vibration, or general wear and tear. If the clamp fails, it can lead to water leaks or hoses becoming detached.
Symptoms of a bad clamp include:
- Water leaking from hose connections
- Hoses coming loose or detaching during operation
- Visible rust or damage on the clamp
- Poor water flow or pressure issues
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

Bad bearings seal and spider David R. • Jacksonville , FL • February 04, 2017
If your LG Front load washers sounds like a freight train, STOP USING IT. You're doing more damage and will need more parts to fix it.
After the noise became unbearable, I began to explore and disassemble. I knew enough to know the bearings must be bad but had never done this repair before. ( I am however pretty mechanically inclined.)
Watch this video before you start tearing your LG apart. APP did a great job explaining the steps of the repair. Do a search on this site or youtube.com with...

My lg wash machine was very noisy because of failing bearings Dominick C. • Port Washington , NY • November 02, 2024
Replacing the two bearings, and washers involved in the process
Amazed by the service: I received the parts on the next day of the order, without requesting it.
Parts were exactly as the original.
This doesn’t mean necessarily the best on the market!
In fact, the bearings are made in China, as the original!
But if they last 9 years, as the originals, will be okay!
The replacement was pretty easy, fallowing the video; but it needs time and patience.
I’m very pleased of the experience.

Little black specks in the dispenser tray calicum build up and rusted clamps on rear of dispenser Paul B. • San Diego , CA • January 30, 2017
I figured after 10.5 years that it might be time to replace the dispenser hoses because I was noticing black stuff in the dispenser trays. I replaced two or the four hoses and clamps on the far left side and for good measure the hot water inlet valve. The inlet valve was okay but the screen had all kinds of crap in there that I couldn't clean out so now I have an extra solenoid just in case one of the others fails. While I was at it I removed the dispenser and cleaned the calcium build up on...

EL Sonja C. • Parachute , CO • September 17, 2021
My front loader LG washing machine wasn’t working correctly. The clothes were either coming out unwashed or completely dripping. When turning the washer on it would start up like normal and the turn off a few minutes in. Initially it was not displaying an error code, this made it very difficult to diagnose. One of the kids started a load not knowing we are having issues and it started making a clunking cringing noise, when I went to investigate the EL code was up. A few YouTube videos later...

Wahser made a loud noise in spin cycle Michael Z. • Indianapolis , IN • October 18, 2014
I suspected the tub gears where ready to break so I dismantled my LG WM2032HW front load washer. I found the spyder gear corroded and broken. I also found that the stainless steel drum abraded the front tub cover so bad, it was cracked. My washer is an early model and always had standing water in the door seal after a wash. What I learned is LG stopped making the orginal front tub cover and replaced it with one that had a drain hole at the bottom front edge. I also learned that this new...

My lg washer was displaying te error code Diane S. • Vancleave , MS • May 13, 2014
I looked online ans read where the tE error code meant the thermistor was bad. I then found a video on YouTube showing how to replace the part. On AppliancePartsPros.com I chatted with a technician that told me the thermistor on my particular model was built into the heater unit and he gave me the link to purchase it. After it arrived via FedEx I followed the repair video and installed it myself (I'm a girl). So far I have run about a half dozen loads and no problems! Thank you so much...

Constant dripping from the orange nozzle at the top of the front loader washer door opening Gary H. • Mount Juliet , TN • December 23, 2025
Replaced the triple-solenoid cold water valve. I am 70 years old, and my washer/dryer set are 10 years old. They are LG brand. I found the model number in the owner's manual. The hardest part of the repair was moving two heavy beasts in a very confined space. I've replaced the two water pumps on the unit about 18 months ago and that was quite a challenge. This repair was a breeze. I removed the washer top, by unscrewing four screws at the back of the lid. This gave me very easy access to the...

The washer sounded like a jet plane when it went through the spin cycle very loud noise Lane C. • Pleasant Garden , NC • February 24, 2015
I originally thought the washer had a bad bearing, but once I got it disassembled it the spider arms were broken. This required the replacement of the tub assembly. While replacing the tub I replaced all of the water bellows. The parts came quickly, the live chat and videos were very helpful. This washer has to be completely disassembled to replace the drum, so mark all the screw locations, tag and bag everything and take lots of pics. It was a very rewarding project and hundreds of dollars...

Lg washer/dryer combo unit shook upper counter balance weight loose damaging the mount lugs on the tub cover and tore the tub gasket Christine V. • Saluda , VA • March 28, 2020
The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back...
