Poped off plastics caseing inside the frigerator. Unscrewed 4 screws holding black fan inplace. Followed yellow wire to locate white sensor. Need to be careful not to break styrofoam, don't force it, it should seporate from plastic easy as long as the 4 screws are out. Swap it for the new one and button it back up. Since I could not find the correct thermistor from the schematic provided, I ordered the thermistor harness for the evaporator. I cut the harness and spliced it to the sheared thermistor wires on the roof of the freezer compartment. It now works fine with a little "farmer ingenuity" help. Samsung was absolutely no help at all, but the guy that I spoke with over the phone at APP sure was. This site is now my "go to" for appliance parts! Tip for others with this model. I loosened middle hinge by the 2 screws which holds a power cord that clips together, then slid the hinge flap upward to release from the door. My bottom clip hinge was broken away from spring and the only way to attach a new hinge clip was to carefully separate the hinge flap. This can be done by squeezing the flap to see where the separation seams are. Small narrow screwdrivers along with a spatula will do without damaging the plastic. My husband figured that the line to the icemaker was either clogged or had frozen over. We found some posts of people defrosting the icemaker by just leaving the freezer door open or with a hairdryer or space heater, but this seemed to be only a temporary fix so we didn’t do that. I heard a cracking sound so I opened the freezer again and found that it was s piece of plastic -- a small bar -- that had broken off of something. I went online, first to identify the broken part. It was the ice guide. I had to do a bit more research to find out what the ice guide does, as well as the part number. I found it easily on appliancepartspros.com. The easiest repair I've ever done. I originally thought (after watching some youtube tutorials) I would need to replace the spring on the flap, but it is not accessible on our Samsung model. Undid the two screws holding the flap to the fridge door, pop it up off the other supports, and un-clip it from the power cord. Put the new flap on the same way and all done! Samsung refrrigerator. it started when the setting was on cubes but was putting out crushed ice. then months later the water refill was running down into the ice bucket causing a massive block of ice in the bucket. look closely at the first two or three cubes in the ice tray after they unload. mine were not dumping and staying in the tray. when the water refill kicked on it would overfill the tray (because of the leftover cubes remaining in the tray) and would run down into the ice bucket... Turn off the water to the ice maker. Unload the freezer and remove the freezer door so you have room to work. Remove the ice maker by removing 2 screws in the front then pull the unit toward the front and unplug the wiring connection. The pipe will now be exposed. Remove the flexible piece from the front of the pipe that directs the water flow to the ice cube tray. Remove the wire tie on the front of the pipe and peel off the insulation surrounding the pipe. I have a large Samsung 4 door refrigerator. One of the rear wheels broke. To replace it, you need the wheel and the shaft. To lift the refrigerator for the repair, I had my wife stand in front of it with her foot on a board that was wedged against the front wheels. I then pushed the refrigerator up from behind and slid a 3/4" piece of plywood underneath the bottom with my foot. This gives you enough space to do the repair. I removed the door and the hinge assembly from the right side; it turns out the grommet had never been installed and this is what was causing the door to grind down the metal hinge. It was remarkably easy to replace and my door is working perfectly! Read more

Samsung does not make it easy to replace the casters. The shafts holding the casters are crimped at the ends and had to be cut off with little room for any tools. I had to jack up the fridge and I used a hacksaw blade with a handle to cut through the wheel shafts. I didn't want to use a reciprocating saw. I couldn't find a way to crimp the new shafts so I drilled small holes at the ends and used cotter pins to retain the shafts in place.The rear caster had no room to slide the new one in... Read more

I started by replacing the water filter assembly since it was leaking after I attempted to install a non-name-brand filter. The new assembly didn't fix the problem (but was hard to find, and AppliancePartsPros was amazing in being able to get one). Further, while replacing that I noticed that the previous owner had literally cut out the grounding pin from the power cord. I decided to replace the power cord and the Ice Maker Assembly.
