Aziz Z. July 27, 2018 for Model Number RF263BEAESG/AA 03 The refrigerator is not cooling. The freezer stopped cooling first but then the refrigerator stopped cooling. Samsung sent a young kid to fix it. They said that it needed a sensor. He came back and said it should be fixed. After 3 hours the whole unit was getting warm. I called them back and after 3 days, they sent another repairman and said that the compressor is not working but he can't fix it because they do not fix the compressors. This refrigerator is only 13 months old and Samsung is just ignoring it even though I have a 5 year warranty on the compressor. The computer board said the Freezer is -2°F and the is refrigerator 35°F. The repairman has no idea why the temperature is good on the computer but the refrigerator is warm. I already purchased a compressor, overload, and temperature sensor from you guys and it's coming in couple days. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Aziz, When the freezer fails first and then the fresh food section warms up it indicates a sealed system issue. You will need a Freon certified technician to service the unit because of the EPA laws governing the handling of Freon. It also sounds like there could be a control issue since it is not reading the temperatures correctly. As far as the warranty goes, you will need to contact Samsung, possibly through an authorized dealership to get a response from them. Have the dealership contact their Samsung representative concerning the matter. Read More...
Jon January 14, 2018 for Model Number RF260BEAEBC/AA I have error code 33 E showing after I unplugged the unit to clean out underneath. What does that mean and is it easy to repair? where can I get the part?
1 Answer Jon, The "33 E" error code indicates an issue with the ice maker fill tube heater and /or a wiring problem. Since you moved the refrigerator, you may want to check the connections at the main control board to see if there are any loose connections or damaged wires. If all's OK you'll need to turn off the water supply and remove power to the refrigerator Remove the ice maker by removing 2 screws in the front then pull the unit toward the front and unplug the wiring connection. The pipe will now be exposed. Remove the flexible piece from the front of the pipe that directs the water flow to the ice cube tray. Remove the wire tie on the front of the pipe and peel off the insulation surrounding the pipe. The heater will now be exposed. Unplug the heater wiring connection. go back to the freezer and push the pipe up and out the back of the frig. Go to the back and pull the pipe the rest of the way out. Peel off the defective heater making sure that you remember the direction the heater was adhered to the pipe and the placement of the wiring. Feed the pipe through the opening in the back pushing it down until the rear "T" is flush with the base. Go to the freezer once more and wrap the pipe with a foam insulation wrapping with tape and placing a wire tie on the end as originally done. Replace the flexible connection on the front of the pipe and plug in the unit. Now replace the ice maker and the project is complete. Push the reset button on the front of the ice maker. The ice maker should recycle and allow water to flow to the ice cube tray. You can purchase the DA47-00192E Heater-Water Pipe right here at AppliancePartsPros.com, the part is in stock and available at this time. Read More...
Gary September 15, 2017 for Model Number RF263BEAESR/AA 01 Samsung model number RF263BEAESR/AA 01. Good day sir: manufactured date of this refrigerator was may of 2015. We live in the desert of Arizona however the refrigerator is in a condition space within the kitchen. The freezer in the bottom pull out is not keeping the food frozen. It is sporadic freezing at one time than not.. The temperature on the panel reads -7° when I place a thermometer a digital and a regular one they are saying around 30° or higher but this is sporadic sometimes of get down to zero. I have corrected the upper portion of the refrigerator by cleaning out the drain [there was no trash only ICE] and installing a copper wire around the heater to keep the drain from freezing also replace a few sensors this is now working fine but the bottom is still cuckoo hope can help me
1 Answer Gary, You would want to pull the rear cover of the freezer compartment and check the frost pattern. The frost pattern should be a full even frost pattern from top to bottom and if there is very little frost then this would be a sealed system issue. If the coils are impacted with ice then this will be a defrost issue and will want to check the thermistor and the heater to make sure that they are good. If they check ok then this will be a faulty control board. Read More...
Scott January 27, 2017 for Model Number RF323TEDBSR/AA-0001 Unit temp issue. Freezer is not as cold as it says it is. For example the display will state the freezer is -2f however everything in the freezer is thawed. If I unplug the unit and let it sit for a minute or two then plug it back in the display will then adjust and display the true reading of 45f. Then the unit will freeze and run correctly for a period of time. At some point maybe a month or week it will do it again. I have contacted repair shops and Samsung and no one can seem to give me a correct solution. Would this be a temp sensor issue?
1 Answer Hello Scott. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the main board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Scott January 26, 2017 for Model Number Samsung RF323TEDBSR My unit is from 2013 and I have an issue with my temp. Several times now I have found food in my freezer to be thawed. When I push the temp display it will show the reading to be -2F which is what it is set for. Which with food being thawed we know it is not actually -2. If I unplug the unit and let it sit for a few minutes and plug it back it, the unit will reset and then it will display correct temp which may be 45F. Any idea if this is a sensor or computer issue?
1 Answer Scott, This issue would most likely be caused by a issue with the main control board as the sensor is reading the correct temp after power down. Read More...
Jaime43 December 30, 2016 for Model Number RFG293HARS/XAA-0001 Before replacing the temp sensor, I got a USB data logger that takes temp once every 5 mins. I put it in the freezer for about 2 weeks of which about 10 days we were gone. The log shows defrost cycles about once per day (temp goes to about 20F). With the freezer set to -4F, the lowest readings when we were home are 0F. When gone, the lowest readings were -7F, but the ambient temp was also about 7 degrees lower (turned down house heat). Wouldn't this indicate low refrigerant vs broken sensor?
1 Answer Hello Jaime43, These are average temperature readings that do not appear unusual because of the operating characteristics of the sealed system during normal usage and a "no door opening" operation. The room temperature will also, as stated, affect the normal operation. A Freon loss would cause the unit to warm up and not cool back down. If you could please provide a more detailed problem description, we will do anything we can to assist in unit diagnosis. Read More...
Jaime43 December 10, 2016 for Model Number RFG293HARS/XAA-0001 Samsung RFG293HARS - The freezer is running warmer than the displayed temp - even after power off resets. When set to -2F, the temp is in mid 20s F (with Ice OFF). With ice on (there is no water line to fridge), manual says it will stay at -14F, but actual is about 7F. These actual temps almost match exactly what a -2 C and -14 C (vs displayed F) setting should produce. Am trying to switch the display from F to C, but nothing in manual. Other models use energy saver switch (3 Sec) to change, but it does nothing on mine. Before I replace the freezer temp sensor and/or main PCB, would like to try to switch this back and forth from F to C etc to see if this is the problem. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Jaime, It does sound like this would be set up on Celcius rather than fahrenheit but unfortunately we do not have information on changing the display to fahrenheit. Also if it is set up on fahrenheit then the issue would most likely be in the sensors. Read More...
Manuel November 07, 2016 for Model Number RF260BEAESR/AA-0001 Water accumilation under crisp drawer. What is the part # for the defrost senor? will this take care of my problem?
1 Answer Hello Manuel. Sorry, there is no clip listed for your model. You will need to clean out the drain line under the evap coils to stop the water from collecting under the drawers. Read More...
Andrew September 04, 2016 for Model Number Rf263teaebc I have a Samsung French door refrigerator with the twin cooling and all that. It's not too old I've had it apart two times so far. The first time the fridge would leak water onto the floor due to the evap drain being blocked. The second time the fresh food part wasn't cooling but freezer seemed to be ok due to the evap coils be clogged with ice but the drain was free of ice build up. So I replaced the thermos bi metal sensor da47-00243k. While I had it apart I also wanted to replace the sensor with the sensing bulb that clips to the evap core but I think I got the part da32-10105x. It's been a few weeks now and now there is ice and water again on the back cover. Would it just be that I would need to replace the temp sensor. Could u give me the correct part number if so. Any other recommendations?
1 Answer Andrew, The temp sensor would be a likely cause for the evaporator to ice up and would be part number DA32-10104N. Read More...
