Gus March 25, 2012 for Model Number LA5550XPW3 My washer model is LA5550XPW3. I just bought a new top agitator AP2906586. In order to secure the top agitator to the bottom agitator, I also bought bolt AP3046456. While agitator dogs don't seem to be needed, I believe I need the agitator dog CAM so that the bolt can secure both agitators together. Do I need the short CAM or the medium CAM? Also, do I need the thrust washer (AP3094463) or is it not necessary? Thank you.

Brenda March 20, 2012 for Model Number LSQ9030PQ1 I removed the agitator. The 2 pieces will not separate, even with my husband trying to pull it apart. How do I get it apart without breaking something? Does it have to do with the locking tabs referenced in the video? I want to be sure what parts I need before I order. It still works somewhat so I don't want to break it and not be able to use it until I get the parts.
1 Answer Brenda, Were you able to remove the "dogs' and cam from the upper part of the clothes mover/agitator? Once you have, the clothes mover should lift off the lower agitator assembly unless, the lower cam WP3951608 or the top of the lower agitator, has become distorted or worn to the point, it has adhered itself together. Roger February 26, 2012 for Model Number Lsq9564jq1 Upper agitator or cloth mover does not separate from lower agitator. It appears that this model does not have thrust washer. Four white tabs seems to hols agitator cam assembly but they appears to be fused to the assembly. Any amount of force to separate them fails. Any help to figur out separation of upper and lower agitator would be greatly appreciated
