Simple. Just pulled out the old and popped in the new. Rangetop looks much better, though grates and burner rings (no longer available) could use repainting with heat resistant enamel or some other treatment.

What you will need:
* replacement parts
* small and regular Phillips screwdrivers
* small wrench
* soapy water in a spray bottle or leak detection spray
Take apart the top of the stove control unit
1) turn off the gas to the stove, in my case I cannot get to the shutoff valve easily so I ended up turning off the electricity to the stove at the fuse box as that forces an emergency shutdown of the gas supply internally of the stove.
2) remove all 5 knobs, the grates at the top and open the oven...
