This is a cooling fan assembly used in wall ovens and ranges to circulate air and prevent overheating of internal components and surrounding cabinetry. It helps dissipate heat from the oven cavity and electronics during and after cooking cycles. Replace this fan if you notice excessive heat on the outer surfaces of the oven, the fan runs noisily or intermittently, or the oven displays overheating error codes.

This motor and switch assembly controls the automatic locking mechanism on the oven door, primarily used during the self-clean cycle.
