Oven Temperature Sensor (Probe)
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB20X137

This oven temperature sensor monitors interior oven temperature and sends readings to the control board so the oven maintains accurate cooking temperatures. Replacing a faulty sensor restores proper temperature sensing for consistent results. What it does:

  • Measures oven cavity temperature and reports it to the range/oven control
  • Prevents cycling issues that cause over- or under-heating when sensor fails
  • Can cause oven not to reach set temperature, long heat times, or temperature error codes
  • Works as the temperature feedback element for bake and broil cycles
What's included:
  • One oven temperature sensor (probe) with attached wire connector
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing to avoid shock
  • Sensor is typically mounted inside the oven cavity (rear wall) and secured with a retaining screw; access requires opening the oven door and removing the mounting screw and connector
  • Handle the thin probe and wiring gently to avoid damage; ensure connector is fully seated when installing
