After watching the how to video twice I decided to embark on dismantling my dryer and attempting to replace my motor. After realizing that the main tool needed was a Phillips screwdriver I was sure I could handle this repair. One by one I took apart the dryer and spread out the parts throughout my mud room. 1.5 hrs later and I have a working dryer, and most of all a happy wife. I am so blessed. I went online. Found the brackets. Watch the video for the brackets I chose. And lucky me. I did not have to pull the dishwasher out. The installer did not have it flush under the counter. So I was able to pull the dishwasher forward unhook the damage brackets and insert the new. Put the dishwasher back in. Two screws. Did google search and found youtube diagnostic and repair video. Blower wheel was warped and rubbing on the cover. We ordered a new blower wheel and followed youtube instructions to install new blower wheel. Read more

Ordered a new knob and took out little bits of the old one. Took the new knob and pressed it over the stump and presto works like new. Read more

Dropped light panel by removing two screws with socket set. Unplugged two terminals and unclipped the light socket from the base. Then just clipped the new socket onto the base, plugged the connectors onto the terminals and remounted the base. Total job was less than 15 minutes. Read more

When starting my dryer the motor would power up and rotoe the drum and blower. Afetr about 20-30 seconds the igniter would come on then the gas valve would open and I would get heat for about 6 or 7 seconds then it would shut off. I know the burner is suppoed to cycle on and off but once the burner shut off it would not come bqack on unless I shut the dryer off and then back on. Replaced the following parts but did not fix the problem: -Thermister -Thermal fuse -Radiant sensor -Ignitor -Therm The problem was the Centrifugal switch. Took the switch apart and use fine grid sand paper to clean the contacts. Put it back and working. Read more

Removed old lint filter cover. Inserted spring on one end of lint cover and installed cover. Read more

Removed the heater of course and installed the part. Very easy to do no need to remove the drum, just top cover, control panel, and front door assembly. Remove the one screw holding heater, remove blue wire, turn heater CCW to the 8 o'clock poisiton. Install in the reverse order. This is the secound one in a month if it fails again i'll just bypass it and install a 25 AMP fuse. Read more

• Shuts off too soon

Replaced heating element about three months ago. Had to order thermistor because of error code "ts" on display and dryer would not run. Removed the two screws on the back that holds the top in place. After removing the top, remove the screws that hold the control panel on front. Make sure not to break the tabs that help hold it in place You do not have to unplug any connectors for the control panel. I had cleaned the lint out of the dryer exhaust hose, that was usually the problem. But still no heat. I found the assembly with heater element, thermostat, and the thermal fuse already assembled (cheaper than finding what part was bad and ordering that one part). unplugged dryer, pulled it out and removed the dryer exhaust tube, the top and front. The harness was a little short so I wasnt able to pull the whole heater assembly out before disconnecting.
