Dishwasher Water Level Sensor Parts
Genuine Whirlpool part

Part Number: WP661566
Thermostat has 1/4 inch terminals.
The High Limit Thermostat is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. This safety feature is designed to prevent the dishwasher from overheating by shutting off the power if the internal temperature exceeds a certain limit. It acts as a safeguard against potential hazards, such as fires, and ensures the dishwasher operates within safe temperature ranges.
Over time, the high limit thermostat can become defective due to normal wear or electrical issues within the dishwasher. A malfunctioning thermostat may not accurately respond to temperature changes, which can lead to overheating or the dishwasher not reaching the necessary temperature for optimal cleaning.
Symptoms of a bad High Limit Thermostat include:
- Dishwasher not starting or completing a cycle
- The dishwasher stops heating water, affecting cleaning performance
- Overheating, which could potentially damage dishes or the dishwasher itself
This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.
This part fixes the following symptoms
-

Whirlpool dishwasher not fully cleaning or drying dishes. Andrew M. • Seattle , WA • January 05, 2020
My Whirlpool dishwasher (wdf520padm3) started leaving food on dishes and not drying dishes as well as it used to, even when I ran the 'high temp' and 'heavy' cleaning options. This started happening after about 3 years of operation. To try to diagnose the issue, I started the diagnostics cycle (see below for instructions on how to do this). However, the 'Clean' LED is also not working on my dishwasher, so I was unable to read the error code after the service cycle finished.
I decided to...

Thermal fuse and control panel for my maytag dishwasher both failed and needed to be replaced Richard C. • Cape Canaveral , FL • November 01, 2014
Ordered a new thermal fuse from your website last week and installed it three days ago. This is the second fuse in one year that needed to be replaced. The dishwasher was purchased new in 2012. Relatively easy to replace. Your website had a you tube video that showed how to replace it. Power came back on the control panel, but the start button (not a button, but a touch screen) would not work. This is the second time in two years that the control panel had to be replaced because the start...

Jenn airJDB8000AWS3 dishwasher would not drain Lynden B. • Benicia , CA • December 17, 2019
Dishwasher washer would not drain after hearing glass-like particles during the drain cycle despite trying to clean the cylinder filter. Originally suspected the drain motor was damaged. After watching a video on how to replace the drain pump, I carefully energized the dishwasher (from water and electricity) then removed the dishwasher to take a look. After removal of drain hose from the pump, discovered that drain hose was connected to water inlet assembly which also needed removal to...

Symptoms of a bad turbidity sensor include:
- Dishes not being cleaned properly
- Dishwasher running longer than usual or shorter cycles
- Error codes related to the sensor
- Inconsistent wash performance
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

F7 e1 error code water not getting hot. David F. • Austin , TX • September 14, 2021
My wife said we have a problem with our dishwasher (Whirlpool WDT920SADE2). The dishes were not getting clean, and the soap dispenser opened, but soap was still dribbled down the inside of the door and on the silverware caddy.
I'm not the handiest guy; it took me several days to go through the trouble-shooting process, watching multiple videos and trying different things. My initial guess was that the soap dispenser was opening too late. (This turned out to be wrong.)
I started off by...

Dishwasher stopped draining water the pump was running (i could hear the noise) but water would not go away Evgueni P. • San Mateo , CA • February 08, 2015
I've opened sump housing to check for clogging but it was clean. When I removed check valve to inspect it I've found out that the round part of the valve was missing so I figured it might've blocked the water exit at drain hose or something like that. So I pulled the dishwasher out to get a full access to drain hose connector and the pump. Upon disconnecting the drain and checking its connector I indeed found the round piece totally blocking the hose and acting as a seal. I removed the piece...

I very seldom respond to requests for feedback like this but definitely feel moved to do so in this case. When our 8 year old dishwasher started acting up my initial reaction was to simply replace it. I wasn't sure what was wrong, nor if I would be able to find the right part once I did figure out the problem. The troubleshooting advice
on this website was spot on and I quickly figured out what needed to be replaced. The repair videos were easy to follow and the parts were here two days...

The bottom kick plate had a trouble shooting guide in a plastic sleeve which I opened and reviewed. Based on information in there it appeared the TOC was likely the issue. (We recently lost power and used a stand by generator. Previously when we did the the dishwasher had a blinking LED on the...

Symptoms of a bad thermal fuse include:
- The dishwasher not starting or running
- The control panel not responding
- The dishwasher stopping unexpectedly mid-cycle
- No indicator lights or sounds when attempting to operate the dishwasher
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Dishwasher just stopped working, no power Michelle W. • Gillett , WI • April 05, 2014
My friend researched online what would make a dishwasher just stop working, no power. The person on the you tube video showed how to first start with the thermal fuse. Then searched online for the thermal fuse. You had the part for a small price. I felt it was worth trying to see if that may be the issue. IT WORKED!! I was without a dishwasher for over a year, was planning to by a brand new one but for $23.00 now have a working dishwasher!! YEAH!

Dishes not dry at the end of the cycle. The heating element is not heating. Richard J. • Watertown , SD • March 10, 2023
Performed diagnostic tests. Had code for no heat. I performed a continuity check on the element and found it to be bad. I replaced the Heating Element per the video directions they provided on their website. I also replaced the Hi-Limit Thermostat since I was in that area already. The dishwasher is repaired for a fraction of the cost of what I would have paid a repair person to do the work.

The Elbow Hose and Clamps Kit is an OEM replacement part for GE dishwashers. This kit includes an elbow-shaped hose and the necessary clamps to secure it in place. It is designed to connect components in the dishwasher's water drainage or inlet system, ensuring a secure and leak-free flow of water during operation.
