I read the FAQ section of Appliance Pros parts web site. I found out I needed to replace the temperature control switch, WPW10248240, to correct my problem. This switch also controls the tub filling water level based on air pressure via the attached vinyl tubing. I was actually getting an error code for the shifter and speed sensor. I ordered a shifter, which included the speed sensor, and replaced that part but the washer still didn't work. I have a 25 year old Kenmore washer that works well and didn't want to get a new washer as they don't make them like they used to. Upon removing the top cap of the agitator and doing an inspection, the agitator dogs were completely broken into pieces. Due to age we decided to replace the lower and upper agitator along with the agitator auger dogs repair kit. All new parts and works fine.
