But he did discover what turned out to be the belt tensioner pulley laying inside the machine. One day my wife went to bake something and the bake/broil buttons as well as #3, #9, and oven light ceased to work. Local repair guy came by and wanted to charge $500 to fix it....YEAH RIGHT! First replaced the drum rollers...that wasn't it..took dryer back apart and spun the belt tension wheel by hand (should have done this the first time I took the dryer apart) and it squeaked. so I ordered the full parts: wheel, idler arm, idler spring, arm sleeve, E ring..Put it back together and whoa..no more squealing!! I decided to repair my Amana LWA50AW top loader washer because it has served us well, it is made by Speed Queen and an equal replacement is expensive. These are very dependable washers. The parts I ordered were: part #R9900552 (hub and seal kit) This kit does not include the Tub or Main bearing!!! Nor the drive belt!!! Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. The drain hose had rubbed against a metal piece until a split was formed. There was only one clamp to remove to get the old hose off. The repair took about an hour to complete. Amana distinctions washing machine. Read more

First i had to remove the belt from the drum pulley. i had to actually remove the motor from the washing machine. carefully remove the two water hoses attached to the pump...have a towel ready...there will be a few cups of water left in the hoses. remove spring from tension pulley then remove the pump that was attached to the motor. you will need a set of hex keys to remove the pump. then you can remove the belt from the drive pulley. reinstalled new belt around drive pulley and reinstalled... Here's the story. All my appliances except the dryer broke. Yeah. talk about bad luck. First I tried to fix the refrigerator. Replaced both motherboard and inverter board. Now it wakes up but the compressor does not kick in. Need another part. The washer, well I have to pull out the sink to get enough room to pull out the washer to fix it. Since the refriigerator is still in the middle of the kitchen, I don't need to tear apart another room. Nevertheless, let me say this, I love my "older"... Read more

Dismantle the unit and replaced tub bearing. Press the old bearing out then press new bearing in. Read more

This was a very easy fix. Two screws to get the front off of the washer. Removed one side of the tensioner spring. Loosened two screws for the motor and two screws for the pump. I decided to replace the agitate belt even though it wasn't broken.. So, I removed that belt from the pulleys and the removed the broken belt. then just reversed the process to install the belts. it toke me less than 30 minutes and my washer was back in service.
