Fix a washer that won't spin or leaves clothes soaking wet. This clutch assembly engages the transmission for proper spin cycles. DIY repair in 30-60 mins.
In reality, this turned into a full-on rebuild project - with several parts orders, not just a simple repair. But I have to give credit: The parts listings with pictures on the AppliancePartsPros web site were really useful in figuring out what was going on inside the machine, and what parts I would need. Also: The repair videos were critical for me to be able to ensure I was reassembling everything correctly. Shout out to Simon, who was featured in several of the repair videos. His "gorgeous... Replacement drain hose assembly for washers. Carries wastewater from washer to household drain. Replace if cracked, kinked, split, or leaking.
I searched for parts on the internet regarding the make and model of my washer. Appliance Parts Pros not only had the part on a very user friendly website, but also had a well done video that made fixing the problem a breeze. Much appreciated and will buy from here from now on. Highly recommend! My local parts store did not have the part and would have to order it anyway. Read more

Lubricates transmission gears for smooth wash and spin cycles. Replace when degraded or after transmission repairs. Verify compatibility with your model.
The parts I purchased from Appliance Parts Pro fit perfectly and were reasonably priced. I received them the next day, which made the Wife (and me) very happy. Although Appliance Parts Pro did not have a repair video for this, I was able to find one online and the machine is washing like new again. The website is well laid out and easy to find what your looking for. Between the available parts and the videos they provide, anyone who is reasonably handy should be able to repair their machine as... Read more

Washer overfilling or not filling properly? A damaged pressure switch hose prevents accurate water level sensing. Easy 15-minute DIY fix with video.
I read the FAQ section of Appliance Pros parts web site. I found out I needed to replace the temperature control switch, WPW10248240, to correct my problem. This switch also controls the tub filling water level based on air pressure via the attached vinyl tubing. I ordered the switch and the tubing, WP353255, in case mine was no longer any good, and I also ordered the retaining clips for the control cabinet, (2) of WP8312709, because they can be damaged when accessing the controls. My new... Read more
Washer won't stop spinning smoothly or makes loud jerking noise when stopping? The brake shoe stops the tub during spin cycles. DIY repair in 1-2 hours.
First I looked at the many you tube vids, and there are many. appliance parts pros pretty much shows you how to deal with the parts. I changed the brake shoes and the clutch assembly which also comes with the driver cam. I also changed the metal brake operating cam. I think that brake lockup or improper brake release was the problem that broke the plastic cam driver. This was the broken plastic part making all the ticking noise. I first changed the coupling on the motor but that wasn't bad. in... Read more
Secures the control console to the top panel of your dryer. Replace this clip if it's broken, cracked, or missing to keep the console firmly mounted.
Replacement water fill hoses for washing machines. Connect home water supply to washer. Replace when cracked, leaking, or showing rubber wear or corrosion.
Motor control board was flashing 4 times, indicating that the mode shifter had an error. I disconnected the mode shifter's wire from the controller and measured the resistance between the 2 leads with an ohmmeter. Since the reading was infinite, that meant that the mode shifter coil or in-line thermal sensor was electrically open, i.e. bad. As this fix is near a complete tear-down of the washing machine, here are a few tips I discovered. 1) the hub nut is difficult to remove and you need a... Read more
Replaces cracked, worn, or missing washer lid bumpers. Cushions lid closure and reduces vibration. Sold individually. Installation video available.
Found AppliancePartsPros on-line. Sent us the manual, parts list, etc. via .pdf files. Our local guy did not. Had parts in stock, two day shipping, totally painless. The parts were approximately 1/2 the price the local guy wanted. OEM parts. Perfect fit on replacement. The Whirlpool is so well made, it was very easy to repair. It has several items, over the years, which failed. In all cases, repair was painless with a few common hand tools and a tad of patience. AppliancePartsPros had... Read more
Loud rattling or loose agitator during wash? This clip secures the agitator assembly to eliminate noise and restore proper back-and-forth motion. Quick DIY fix.
Found that by manually spinning agitator one direction it seemed free, but spinning counterclockwise it seemed to stick a little. Pulled dispenser and agitator and found the agitator washer hole was oval rather than round. Replaced the agitator washer and the washer seems to sound normally for now. Not sure if the new agitator washer will eventually grind down due to non-circular action from the transmission, or if the agitator and clip will keep the transmission centered long term. Should... Fix washer rattling noise or loose cabinet with this retaining clip. Secures cabinet to back panel. Easy snap-in installation takes 10 minutes or less.
After looking at several YouTube videos, we decided we could attempt to fix this ourselves. We found the easiest video to follow from Appliance Parts, and ordered the clips and lid switch assembly (the clips we had to replace because we goofed that one ourselves). The parts came within a couple of days. The repair took a little over 1/2 hour only because we had to re-do some steps because my husband was over anxious and did some things without reviewing the video. Overall, it was a very... Read more
If your washer agitator won't move or clothes aren't getting clean, this agitator assembly restores wash action. Simple DIY repair in minutes.
It was fairly simple, unbolted the agitator and pulled the old one out then put in the new...although when when a load became unbalanced the rocking motion slowly strips the bolt, I would suggest if replacing this unit also order the bolt. I also bought loctite dew to the fact that the bolt was stripped. Read more
