The start button had been tricky to use. You had to push it in just a certain way to get the dryer to start. Eventually it was non-responsive. All other controls worked and there was no error code displayed. The repair was to replace the whole control board which cost around $100. Heavy sigh.. Be sure to keep track of all your screws. This is an electric solenoid water inlet valve that controls the flow of cold water into the washer. It opens when the washer calls for water during fill cycles and closes to stop flow when the correct level is reached. Replace this valve if the washer is not filling with water, filling too slowly, leaking from the back, or continuing to fill when it should stop.
