The Carbon brush, drum motor is an OEM part for Bosch washing machines. These carbon brushes are responsible for transferring electrical current from the commutator on the motor to power the rotary movement inside the washing machine drum. Two come per package.
Symptoms of a bad carbon brush, or drum motor can include:
Causes of a bad part include normal wear and tear over extended use. As the brushes continuously contact the commutator, friction can cause them to wear down over time.
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.
This is the second time this issue has come about. Bosch would tell you that you have a brushless motor. This is not true. If you get on youtube.com you can see how you can replace the brushes in your motor. Brush replacement. $50. New motor using a appliance repair man $500. Read more
Seals the temperature sensor where it passes through the washer tub. Replace if worn or leaking to prevent water damage. Confirm fit with your model.
After watching the video carefully and taking notes for step-by-step dismantling of the LG washer, I took it apart methodically placing each item on a table in the order removed. I was able to remove and replace the bearings with no problems following the tips and tricks. The spider did not seem to be in bad shape but since I had a new one, it seemed reasonable to replace it as well, but it was difficult to extract the old one from the drum. The bolts are assembled with weld glue, so it is a... Read more
Seals the opening between your front-load washer door and tub to prevent leaks. Replace when torn, deformed, or leaking. Confirm fit with your model.
I sat an watched a wash cycle. When it came to drain cycle I could hear the pump making a grinding noise! Door bellow seal leaked too. I ordered new pump and housing, new door bellows seal. The clearance of the pump impeller and housing are real important. I have jet Skies and I knew it is an issue. Watched the video on the repair. Gave me all the instructions to take it apart. One thing it did not show. Lube the new seal mating surface with laundry detergent. It went right on. I have never... Read more

Ball bearing supports the rotating shaft in your washer's drive system. Replace when you hear rumbling, grinding, or clunking during spin to prevent damage.
An online search for LG washing machine parts came up with a repair video from Appliance Parts Pros. I watched the video. It was very well done, very detailed, and took you step by step through the entire process to replace the tub bearings and the spider, from start to finish. After watching the video, I realized this repair was well within my abilities. No specialized tools were needed. I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pros, and all items were in stock and delivered within a couple... Read more
Concrete balance weight mounts to washer outer tub to stabilize drum during spin. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to restore proper vibration control.
My problem was a broken spider. I followed your excellent video, but have some additional input that should be incorporated in a new video showing the required upgrade procedures and parts required to repair an early model with damaged front tub half using currently available parts. Don't expect everything to go as easy as the video. 1) Used 4lb. brass hammer to drive shaft from bearings. 2) Torqued spider bolts to 20ft lbs. with thread locking compound. 3) attached rubber seal to front tub... Wire clamp spring that secures the door boot to the washer's front panel opening. Replace if broken, stretched, or missing to keep the seal properly seated.
Fixing was easy and took approximately 1 hour. I have a Bosch Axxis washing machine and all parts came exactly as ordered and within 2 days of order. I had to take off front and top panel and the door switch. The new wire and spring was part of the order and I had to pay for it. The old parts looked fine to me and I could have reused them but since I had the new ones, I replaced them anyhow. I wish I would have the option to buy the rubber gasket only. Read more
This noise filter assembly is an electronic component that suppresses electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated by the washing machine's motor and control circuits. It helps prevent electrical noise from feeding back into your household wiring. Replace this part if your washer fails to start, shuts off unexpectedly, or causes interference with nearby electronics.
Checked circuit breaker to d/w first. Good. Went to website to see no power issues. Most all of them mentioned the noise filter being the problem. Removed filter from machine and found the corner melted where fuse is located. Ordered new filter, installed, and now have power to switches. All the information I found on the website really made this a easy job to get done. Read more
Replacement heater assembly for washers. Installs in the wash tub housing. Replace if cracked, leaking, or damaged. Includes integrated thermistor sensor.
I looked online ans read where the tE error code meant the thermistor was bad. I then found a video on YouTube showing how to replace the part. On AppliancePartsPros.com I chatted with a technician that told me the thermistor on my particular model was built into the heater unit and he gave me the link to purchase it. After it arrived via FedEx I followed the repair video and installed it myself (I'm a girl). So far I have run about a half dozen loads and no problems! Thank you so much... Read more
Secures the stator to the motor assembly in your washer. Replace if bolt is stripped, spinning freely, or missing to restore proper motor stability.
I originally thought the washer had a bad bearing, but once I got it disassembled it the spider arms were broken. This required the replacement of the tub assembly. While replacing the tub I replaced all of the water bellows. The parts came quickly, the live chat and videos were very helpful. This washer has to be completely disassembled to replace the drum, so mark all the screw locations, tag and bag everything and take lots of pics. It was a very rewarding project and hundreds of dollars... Read more
Washer won't spin or agitate properly? A worn stator disrupts the motor's magnetic field, preventing drum rotation. Moderate DIY repair restores spin.
This gasket does not include the port. For the gasket with a port order MDS33059402.
Replaced the boot gasket with help from the online tutorial, took me about an hour but I considered that very reasonable. I think this project could be handled by just about anyone who is remotely handy. Read more
Secures washer hoses to pumps, tubs, and drain fittings to prevent leaks. Replace when weakened, rusty, or damaged to maintain tight connections.
I started by watching the video and it was very helpful. I would make one suggestion. On our model the weights on the tub sit very close to the front gasket. It is much easier to put the gasket on the tub before you put the weights on. Also, since the washer was tore apart, I replaced the hoses and seals and shocks since the machine is about 8 years old. The shocks made a huge difference. It spins like it did when it was new. Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. Read more
Plastic baffle inside the washer drum that lifts and tumbles laundry. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to restore smooth operation and prevent snags.
My first step after realizing the loud noise came from the main bearing of our LG washer was to order the necessary parts for the repair that A.P.P. recommends. Using Appliance PartsPros.com as my main source for parts and video I began by watching Mitch repair a washer similar to ours. Mitch made it look easy enough and being a repair person myself I thought ok no issue here. So, following A.P.P's suggestions I ordered all the parts and added the main door gasket and spider. Note: The... Read more
This Screw (drawing) is a factory fastener used to secure appliance panels and components. Replacing a stripped, corroded, or missing screw restores a tight fit, reduces vibration, and helps keep assemblies correctly aligned.
The upper counter-balance weight mount design is a poor design to begin with. It started to rattle loose approximately 5yrs into the 8yrs that we've owned it. As it would start to loosen up (as evidenced by the loud banging noise exhibited during operation); I'd shut it down, pull the top off, remove the weight (it was almost always half rattled off at this point), wrap the mount lugs with friction tape (the plastic lugs were being worn down/chaffed by the balance weight), put the weight back...
