I think I could have just replaced the pump, but I chose to replace the whole assembly. The part is more expensive, but all the gaskets, etc, that come with it are new and that made sense to change all at once. I was able to change this in about 30 minutes, without removing the washer from the under-counter space. I did remove the front door panel, but in retrospect that was unnecessary and probably cost me more time than it saved. Empty the washer of parts, remove the front access panel.... Read more

Ran diagnostics 5 times to make sure I get the same error code and then called Appliance Parts Pros to order the washer pump. They informed me they had the pump assembly that has multiple parts on the unit and it was cost effective to order the assembly. I ordered the assembly and after a long back order time received the part. I purchased the service manual and was using that as a guide, then found a real nice you tube link to replace the assembly made by Appliance Parts Pros. This is the link... Read more

We noticed a puddle of water in front of the fridge a couple of months ago-dried the floor up both times and thought someone had dropped ice-or spilled water. A couple of weeks ago there was water dripping through the dropped tile ceiling in the basement. I shut off the water for the water supply to the fridge at the copper pipe in the basement and removed some of the tiles which felt a little damp. It still dripped all day. I replaced the Tube to pump hose which was very easy. I just tilted the washer on it side and replaced the Hose. Read more

• Will not stop filling with water

I replaced the water level switch and hose. After removing the hose, I found that it was clogged, and did not allow the water level to be sensed by the switch. A test after the replacement of the parts was successful. While filling the tub, the water shut off at the small, medium, and large levels as indicated by the switch. Read more

It was a learning experience. First I turned off the power! I removed the lower kick plate, disconnected the drain hose and electrical connectors. Then removed the discharge pump and heat sensor then loosened the 4 hold down arms/clamps. Then I opened the door and pulled the base up from the inside. Now to remove and replace the Pump Motor. Then reverse the process. If I were to do again, I'd pull the dishwasher out and lay it on its back. Read more

Water was left in the bottom of the dishwasher after each time we ran it and the dishes were no longer getting clean. Also, there was always soap left in the dispenser. I took the DW completely apart and determined the water was not being forced out of the discharge tube and was merely draining via gravity. I ordered a replacement drain pump and removed the entire motor/pump assembly from under the DW. Once the pump was replaced and the DW was put back together, the water now was forced out... I looked up the error code on the internet and determined that the drain pump had failed. I watched the Appliance Parts Pros repair video on how to replace this part, ordered a new pump and installed it myself in less than 30 minutes. This was an easy job that saved me the price of a service call, at least one hour of labor, and perhaps a markup on the part--probably around $200.00 total. This was a dishwasher swap out. I first turned the water off to the inlet hose of the dishwasher from underneath the sink. Removed the inlet water hose from sink to dishwasher. (use wrench or adjustable wrench) Then removed the screws securing old dishwasher from the cabinetry. I then pulled out the dishwasher from the cabinetry hole it was in. Unscrewed console and tilted it back. Then removed clips for machine skin. Rocked it back slightly to access the tub side hose. Removed water inlet valve assembly and removed from the valve. Fished out the old hose. Fished in new hose. Reattched it then reassembled unit. Spent 15 min looking for clip I lost on NASTY FLOOR AAAAAARGH!
