Fix a microwave that runs but won't heat or won't start when door closes. This door switch is a common fix—most DIYers replace it in 15 minutes.
Checked the three door switches; used ohm meter to see if there was resistance or if a switch was bad. 2 out of 3 switches showed resistance with the ohm meter. The last one tested (of course the last one) NO (normally open) did not show resistance; I.e. the ohm meter reading did not change when the switch was depressed. I had also done some research regarding how to replace the latch body assembly and, although I couldn't find... Read more

Replacing the inlet valve solved the problem. The old valve was somehow clogged with white sediment. Great to have a working dishwasher again! Read more

First, I modified old butter knife by bending a 90° angle about 3/4" from the tip. I slid the bent in up under the bottom of the switch cover and worked it to one side. We were a little worried at that point, because your website offered a "replacement" part, with a different number than the original. However, we put the model number into your double check feature and were assured that we were getting the right part. The part arrived in two days and frankly we were still worried, because the new part was slightly larger than the original.... Read more
