Washer won't drain or shows F21 error code? The drain pump assembly removes water after wash cycles. DIY repair in 15 minutes with video instructions.
I have a 12 year old Kenmore Elite washer. One day, suddenly, I heard a grinding noise and the washer abruptly stopped. I called a repair service and was told it could be the bearings in the drum of this front-load washer, or it could be the washer's drain pump, which automatically shuts down when the drain pump fails. The repairman said, if it is the drum, it wasn't worth fixing for the age of this washer. It would cost $85 for him to come out and diagnose the problem, then if I decide to fix... Read more
Flexible door bellow seal prevents water leaks between drum and door on front-load washers. Replace if torn, moldy, or leaking. Verify fit by model number.
Luckily we planned ahead when building the laundry room, as we built a water catch basin and drain under the washer, but waking up to see 1-2 inches of water is never a good sign - even if it is contained. It appears that a sleeve of a shirt was accidentally caught between the door mechanism and the bellow seal. After a few hundred revolutions in the washer, the shirt knotted up and was torn free of its pinch - in doing so, it tore a quarter sized hole in the rubber bellow seal. This was,... Read more

I watched the AppliancePartsPros.com video on the part and replaced the hinge according to the video. Nothing could be easier. Read more
Shock absorber mounts to the washer tub to dampen spin cycle vibrations. Replace if cracked, broken, or worn to restore stability and reduce noise.
We looked online at AppliancePartsPros.com under the symptoms and found it was most likely caused by the shocks. Of course there was a repair video showing how to replace all four shocks step by step, and there was a link for purchasing the four shocks at the bottom of the video. Our repair didn't go quite as quickly as on the video because we are novices, but we were able to do the repair ourselves and, once again, saved ourselves a ton of money! Now we have a very quiet washer and dryer again... Read more
Fix F20 or FH water flow errors with a new flow meter. Common cause of fill problems and suds errors. Easy 5-minute DIY repair with video guide included.
This should be plastered all over the place and every owner of a front end washer should be advised or a recall should be issued about this. As I opened the top of my washer to fix a F35 error by replacing the water level switch, which worked out great and it fixed the issue, I noticed a rusting spot at the bottom of the washer just under where the motor is placed. After running the washer with the lid open (I don't recommend doing that) I noticed that it was coming from the top of the soap... Read more
Fix F26 or F22 error codes and washer won't start issues. This door latch assembly ensures proper closure and signals wash cycle start. DIY-friendly repair.
First I check with Appliance Part Pros, watch videos how to access the parts I believe to be the problem. I love there videos and parts list of solutions to fix what it wrong. First I removed the washer from the laundry room and but it in the garage for more room to work on it. The next thing I replaced was the door lock which seem to be a possible cheap fix and does get a lot of abuse, however it was not the door lock and people should stop posting it could be this issue when they get a F06... Transmits power from motor to rotate the washer tub. Replace if worn, cracked, or causing squealing. Tight fit is normal during installation. Verify fit with your model number.
I pulled the unit away from the wall and noticed black dust on the floor. Unplugged the unit, turned off the water. Removed back panel (about 10 screws with Torx heads) and noticed the belt was off, the drive pulley was loose and wobbling on the shaft, black dust all over the inside. Belt was worn along one side. Some grooves/damage in the outer drum casing around the pulley where it appeared the belt had rubbed. Removed the lower crossbar (2 more screws) to get better access to the drive... Read more

Fix F30 error code or clicking noise from soap dispenser area with this actuator. Controls detergent release timing. Easy 20-minute DIY repair with video.
After watching the YouTube video provided by Appliancepartspros and checking various forums I determined the dispenser motor had gone out. Turns out, it was a two part problem. The connectors to the motor, and the motor had corroded. Cleaned them both with vinegar. The old motor did a load before I started having problems with the CCU. I didn't learn about the CCU needing a reset under the quick diagnostics until after replacing the motor and the new part doing the same thing. Both the new... Read more

Drain hose for washing machines. Connects tub to pump to carry water during drain cycles. Replace if cracked, leaking, or damaged. Includes anti-siphon ball.
Repairing the problem was the easy part. Diagnosing the problem took a little more time. To diagnose the problem, it took longer because I first cleaned the Drain Pump trap from all the material it collected. Socks, hair pins, and other materials that were not cleaned from pants pockets. It then still did not drain. Repeated the process after finding more materials and a toy that punctured the hose between the tub and the drain pump. Running the drain and spin cycle takes about 11... Suspension spring kit for front-load washers. Supports the tub assembly to maintain balance during cycles. Replace if springs are broken, stretched, or missing.
Ordered the springs and shocks. Noticed that the washer had placement for 4 springs, but the factory only installs 2 (or they forgot to install the other two on my machine). If you replace the springs, be sure to check for the spring bracket mount. You will also need those. The washer is running fine. Next I'll work on the dryer. Read more

Fix a washer that won't fill, has an F20 error, or leaks water between loads. This water inlet valve controls flow during fill cycles. DIY repair.
Saw the drip, ordered the part. Unplugged machine from wall. Torx bit on my DeWalt cordless drill to remove the screws securing the lid to the machine, lifted off top cover. Turned off water supply and removed the water supply hoses from back of the machine, used needle-nosed pliers to remove spring clamps from the defective part, removed mounting screw for defective part at rear of machine. Worked the defective part out of mounting, unplugged the three electrical connectors. Then, plugged in... Read more
