Very smooth. I ordered the door and the control panel. It is helpful to have an extra set of hands when removing the screws from the door or place something under it so it doesn’t drop. The door comes off with about 10 screws. They are different length. Short screws go into steel, long go into plastic. Remove the door and upper facia/control panel. Got new replacement spring and cord for our Bosch compact dishwasher. A plastic retaining bracket that held the old spring also was broke but the new spring had its own piece that fit into a slot in the plastic frame, so i just popped it in there, connected the cord, and bingo. Replaced both the Spray Arm and the Spray Arm Water Supply Tube. Highly recommend replacing base plate whenever the Spray Arm Water Supply Tube is replaced. Plastic tabs on the base plate hold those parts together and are likely to break (as seen on Appliance Parts Pros installation video!!!). Found root cause of water distributor leak: White plastic shaft that goes through the red double lip seal in center of water distributor housing was worn. A groove was worn into shaft ~ 90 DEG around. This short shaft connects motor to distributor wheel. When cycle called for water distributor motor to do its thing, water would leak into bottom of machine, raise the float and trigger E15. Bought a new middle rack but had to move some of the plastic parts from the old rack to the new rack. The parts were a little difficult to remove from the old rack and I had to use a lot of care to get that done without breaking one. It was surprisingly easy to remove the door, remove the hinges, then install the new hinges. On my model, the right hinge has a wiring harness attached, but I just removed from the old hinge and attached it to the new one. You need to be careful about moving the door too far the the cabinet because of attached wires. I needed a torx bit for the screws and a flathead screwdriver for prying the hinges off their pins. As soon as the water got very hot, I could see the sump leaking where it meets the stainless pan. Searched for the correct sump gasket without success. Process was a bit more complicated than the videos I had watched online. Had to remove both front panel and control panel to get to soap dispenser. Removed wires to soap dispenser and rinse aide dispenser. Removed wire "harness" around the top and right side of dispenser. Pried back the clips to allow dispenser to be pushed out. It was helpful to have another person to hold the door open at this point. Bent clips back and reinstalled everything. New part works great. Read more
