• Touchpad does not respond

Unplugged the stove. I had to remove mounting screws from under front panel. Then Remove the side panels in order to remove the trim. Under the trim there are two gold screws that hold the front panel in place. Unplug the membrane switch and remove the 4 screws that hold it in place. mount the new membrane switch and use plug it in. Then replaced all screws. Plugged stove back in. First check to see how many leads your switch has before ordering - I ordered before I took things apart, and got an incorrect 2 lead version when I needed a 3. Could not level stove. Front leveling legs had pieces broken out where leg contacted floor. Back leveling legs were worn and did not stay at corrected height when stove returned to full weight on floor. Replaced both front and back leveling legs, and stove was able to be leveled. Also bought Touchup Paint for numerous nicks and scratches - color matched perfectly. Read more

I replaced the thermostat and its control switch as it was not able to turn off. Read more

I disassembled the top of the range and looked at the problem burner. It looked like there was a spark at all three other burners but not the problem burner. There was a visible spark at the connector between the wiring harness and the ceramic igniter but that spark wasn't making it up to the top of the igniter where it can light the burner. Trial and error only cooktop unit. Everything mounted into the counter and needed to pull unit out. I figured it was a control switch or the burner itself. Based on costs, I took the less expensive route and replaced the 2 known malfunctioning switches. All on-line videos said it was a 2-3 hour process to replace.
