I took the plastic vent piece off the front of the microwave & removed the charcoal filter & put the new one in. I removed the three screws on the edge of the door then because I didn't have no removal instructions with the door I had to take a flat tip screwdriver and force the panel on one side close to the handle until it started to come off easy. The handle is attached to the frame of the door. Read more

I took the machine screws out of the outer panel for the right side only. Then pull the panel back a bit to release the lips from the front of the machine and had immediate access to the internal assembly that housed mounting nut. I replaced the screen filter (by sliding it to the rear), and then removed the filthy charcoal filter. Then I slid in the new charcoal filter and replaced it with a new screen filter. I repeated the other side. A piece of advice: the screen filter (silver one) comes with one per unit, where as the charcoal filter came with two per unit. Replace a worn or misaligned interlock with this microwave door interlock assembly. It aligns and supports the door switches so the control accurately senses a fully closed door, restoring safe, reliable operation.
Replaced lower door interlock bracket, cam(which was redesigned), spring(I believe this was the problem) and switch.
