• Door won't open or close

The replacement hinge unit arrived in just two days. The JennAire (Maytag) oven door is fairly typical in that it easily lifts off of the hinge bars. Once the door is off then removing two screws is all that's required to remove the hinge unit from the oven. The new hinge slides up into place and while you hold it up inside of its location putting the old screws back in is very easy. I was able to clean the Oven Temp Sensor with 99% alcohol. Then replaced All switches (after breaker was isolated). Put it all back the way I found it. Turned on breaker. Tested all functions and had no reports of Fan Code re-appearing since. Read more

Replacing the switch membrane restored full function. Relatively easy. Had to pull stove out just a few inches to provide access to two side screws holding control enclosure. Then four screws on bottom edge just above oven door. Then a screw above each burner control. And one screw on the top edge at each corner (right screw additionally holding a ground wire).
