First and foremost I UNPLUGGED THE OVEN!. I'll pass on the early morning SHOCK THERAPY! Second, I unscrewed aluminum protection plate from back of oven. Next, I unplugged the two connections behind the oven switch. Then I removed the plastic switch from the front and unscrewed the two screws that secured the oven switch to the oven. First, it was going to cost $95 for an appliance guy just to look at it! I purchased a burner and a oven orifice replacement kit from Appliance Parts Pros. I downloaded an installation manual from Whirlpool and followed the instructions. It was pretty easy. The front burner orifices could be replaced by just taking off the burner cover. The back ones required removing the burner diffuser. You will need to reattach the back burner bottom assembies after you remove the diffuser before you unscrew the orifice or it might bend the burner piping causing it to not line up... Read more

Purchased bake and broil elements as well as temp sensor. Oven is 18 years old...wasn't sure which was not functioning properly. Carefully Removed all three components, and then installed new. • Little to no heat when broiling

I wanted to get the upper oven baking element replaced; it hasn't been working for a few months. This double oven has had two other issues, there is a fan that comes on to cool the electronics panel, That fan has made excessive noise and it operates for 2-3 hours after the oven turns off. The other problem with the oven is the Self-Cleaning feature runs for about 15-30 minutes and then turns off with an error code. The problem was partly caused because the original legs were at full extension. The replacement legs were longer than the originals and were more secure at the needed length. One difficulty was that the threaded base plate where the legs screwed in had been damaged and had to be reshaped, I was able to reshape the sockets with some effort, to allow the legs to thread in, though one remained slightly angled. Like a boss! Seriously, removed oven from wall (2 screws), removed about 15 sheet metal screws from front and top covers, unplugged wire harnesses one (or a few) at a time. Reassembled. Hint. Take a picture of wiring before removing and mark old parts (especially thermal fuse) with sharpie before removing so you don't get confused. It's really hard to tell a used electrical part from a new one. Read more

I have a Jenn-Air microwave that didn't turn on and had no lights. It just stopped working completely.
