This low-profile washplate sits at the bottom of the tub and moves the load through water for proper cleaning. Replace a stripped, cracked, or loose washplate to restore wash action and reduce noise or slippage.
- Mounts to the drive hub to rotate and circulate laundry during the wash cycle
- Helps create water currents and friction to loosen soils
- Worn or stripped splines can cause slipping and poor agitation
- Common symptoms: clothes not moving, poor cleaning results, unusual clicking/grinding from the tub base, visible cracks or wobble
What's included: 1 washplate Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off water before servicing
- Remove the center cap/cover, then remove the retaining bolt and lift off the old washplate
- Clean and inspect the hub splines; seat the new plate fully and reinstall the bolt—do not overtighten
- Run a short test cycle to ensure proper wash action

Replaced basket hub assembly under agitator. Agitator would not come off so I had to cut slots in agitator with a dremel tool and use a faucet knob puller tool to pull it up off the shaft. As a result I had to replace the agitator as well. Once I got the agitator off replacing the basket hub was fairly straight forward. I also used the puller to remove the basket hub gear.
