Replaces the outer door panel on your dishwasher. Needed when the existing panel is dented, scratched, discolored, or you want a different finish.
Removed the original outer door retaining screws with torque bit. Unfortunately the new door was slightly thicker than the original. Therefore also removed (loosened) the control panel to fit the new door behind the control panel slots that the outer door was to slide tabs into. Fastened all screws back in place. Took the chance that the $900 Control Module part was the real problem and replaced it. Problem solved. After the new Control Module was installed and working I opened the plastic clamshell surrounding the old Control Module which confirmed the faint electronics burning smell I had detected while running diagnostics.
