This fan motor kit includes the evaporator fan motor and associated mounting hardware used in the freezer compartment. The evaporator fan circulates cold air over the evaporator coils and throughout the freezer and refrigerator sections. Replace this motor if the freezer is warm, you hear unusual buzzing or clicking noises, or the fan has stopped spinning, which can lead to uneven cooling or rising temperatures.
Replaced the fan and blade. Would have been easy except the mounting threads were different than the original Kenmore freezer came with. After a 14 mile round trip for 2 5/32 screws and washers, I had my freezer back. Included an improved wiring harness than the original. Read more

Replaced the motor, however not the easiest to do with the older refrigerators. First I had to remove the shelf that hold the ice bin. There is a small screw midway underneath the tray. Once removed the shelf is loose but still hard to remove. There is a side panel that is slotted andonce removed the shelf can then be removed, but not knowing that it is a very odd fitting unit. Figured out how to diagnose it and found the error codes, all online! learned how disconnect everthing and laid the washer down on its back, saw the 2 malfunctioning pieces, The Drive motor and the shift actuator, removed them and looked up model numbers, found the parts I need here on appliance parts pros and was able to order them and have them delivered in 2 days.
