The receptacle that held the burner element in place was broken so the burner would not make a connection and heat up. I ordered the receptacle kit. I determined the hidden bake element below the oven cavity was not working, because the bottom of the oven was cold during normal use. If you have a built-in microwave + oven combination (mine is KitchenAid Model No. KEMS308SSS05), this is a difficult repair. Full disassembly of removable tray into top plate (stainless) and lower pan taking care not to loose fasteners. Removal of terminal blocks using lubrication on rusted screws and, if necessary, drill out technique. Unclip wires from edges of the tray on both sides without losing the clips for future re-use. I unplugged the stove ,cut the 50 amp cord off from the terminal block as it was burned took out the terminal block as it to was all melted .installed the new terminal block with a new stove cord back in business Read more

Let me tell you that the videos made by AppliancePartsPros.com are what I needed most. They are simplified and complete. It turned out that because of a loose connection at the power terminal block, it over heated, melting the block and of course frying the wiring and distorting the connections.
