Burner element was broken and partially melted. Didn't know if element or switch or kettle started it. Switch smelled burnt and bad; "burner on" light was on regardless of switch position. Traded with another burner switch; light went out. Ordered new infinity switch, burner element, plug for burner element, & drip pan. I tried swapping the cables around by putting the cables from the burners that would light onto the ones that didn't light. When I did that the problem would move. So this is how i determined that the issue was with this module and not the burners or cables. Once this new module arrived it was simple to disconnect the old one and put the cables back on the new one. I tested it (holding by breath!) and then all of the burners started. HOORAY! Read more

Watched the video here, took the leap that burner was the problem and ordered it. Also found another vid on you tube that was more specific to my Kenmore. Tip: find out how to take off the oven door. For mine it was very easy but not detailed in the APP vid. I followed instructions in APP vid but also first took off back panel of range and tested resistance of old burner to ensure that was truly the problem (as suggested by other YT vid). My tenant thought that the oven safety valve was bad, but after some research, I found that the transfer of heat from the igniter had to be sufficient enough to cause the valve to open.Your agent confirmed this and reassured me that even if the igniter was glowing, there was a 99% chance that it wasn't getting hot enough. • Won't start

Replaced igniter and orifice assembly, and replaced spark module. Used the video for help, but the video doesn't show the top cover piece that needs to be taken off first. Also the screws for the igniter set were stuck from old grease or something and had to be drilled out. Overall the project was well worth my time for the cost vs replacement decision. Removed old thermostat and pulled old thermocouple fron oven. ran new thermocouple to oven and put in clip, tistalled new thermostat using 2 phillips head screws, done. Read more

Replaced spark module - oven was less than two years old. Like a lot of new gas ovens, turning on any one burner to 'lite' sends sparks to all 5 top burners. The difficulty was getting to the spark module, as some generic videos show access to it from the upper panel on the back of the oven, but it wasn't there. Had to take off the entire top burner panel of the oven to get to the module, and then it was simple to replace the module by transferring the wires to the new one. I did see on... Read more

Turned off the power. Pulled out the stove. Removed back of upper part of stove. Removed old control board. Took photos with phone to make sure I got wires back on correctly. Only 1 wire was difficult to remove and required gentle rocking with pliers. Put the overlay on the new board. Placed all the clips and wires back on the new board. Turned on power to test. • Little to no heat when broiling

Pulled stove out from wall and unplugged for safety, removed back cover to check for any wire damage because the element blew out pretty bad but wiring was ok, removed wires from broil element at the back of the stove. Went to the front of the stove opened door and removed hangers and finally the element screws on broil element. I unplugged the stove ,cut the 50 amp cord off from the terminal block as it was burned took out the terminal block as it to was all melted .installed the new terminal block with a new stove cord back in business Read more

We simply removed the back panel off the stove, removed four screws and unplugged the controller. It was so quick and easy. It took about five minutes to replace. Read more

It took a little longer then I was hoping but wasn’t terrible. If the burner is very old at all make sure to get the new screws. Both of mine snapped when trying to remove them. The new one works great. Read more

I googled the error code and symptoms my oven was exhibiting to determine the solution and which parts to order. I needed a new control panel and chose also to replace the overlay that shows on the front of the stove. I could have reused the old one because I turned out to be able to remove it without damaging it. I just kept it in case I damage the new one in the future.
