Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Whirlpool LSQ8000 clothes mover (upper agitator) not working correctly   Tom L. • Minneapolis , MN • March 10, 2018

I had replaced the Agitator cams a couple of times already due to my brother-in-law overloading the machine which stripped the teeth off of the cams. I also noticed the agitator seemed to 'wobble' and made 'knocking' noises quite a bit. I reviewed the video on the Appliance Parts Pros web site, disassembled the agitator and cleaned everything up, which helped a little, but not enough. Figuring the agitator itself was worn out also, I looked up and ordered all the parts for the upper agitator on... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You No spin/agitate.   Daniel S. • Landenberg , PA • November 11, 2022

In the end, with a new coupler. But I relearned old lessons the hard way. The washer is in a rental unit and the tenant complained of no spin. My first intuition was that the coupler failed again because I bought a cheaper one elsewhere a couple of years ago and not the brand name available here at AppliancePartsPros. But we’ll come back to that. Lesson #1: Verify the symptoms firsthand. I dug in right away, popped out the motor and the coupler appeared okay. When I spun it by hand, it turned... Read more

My wife noticed that our washing machine was making a terrible rumbling noise and seemed to be out of balance all of the time. A YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIdtNdDXFDk , by a professional appliance repair company described replacement of the freezer drain pipe with Kenmore's (by Whirlpool) revised drain pipe. Ice buildup inside the freezer was caused by warm air beneath the freezer contacting cold air from inside the freezer the resulting condensation freezing and blocking the drain, causing the ice buildup inside. Removed cover from Whirlpool washer (~20 years old) and found water to be leaking from hose connection at Break Vac.
