Im not a repairman, so all my knowledge to fix my washer came from either youtube or online chats. I posted this to help the next dad trying to save a few bucks. Door sensor... Bought a new upper agitator/filter housing. Just slide it over the bottom agitator housing and put the cap from the old one on the new one. Takes maybe 3 minutes to do. The screen inside the lower part of the housing/filter holds it snug to the bottom housing and does not fly off during the spin cycle. Works great. Read more

I have a 25 year old Kenmore washer that works well and didn't want to get a new washer as they don't make them like they used to. Upon removing the top cap of the agitator and doing an inspection, the agitator dogs were completely broken into pieces. Due to age we decided to replace the lower and upper agitator along with the agitator auger dogs repair kit. All new parts and works fine. On inspection of old parts, we probably could have gotten away with just a $5 repair for the plastic... Read more

The problem wasn't a blocked screen. I took apart my washer. Very easy on the Kenmore 600 series. Before I did this, I watched a YouTube video and it was a piece of cake. The whole job took me 35 minutes. Read more

I replaced the timer...I talked with a tech to make sure the timer I ordered was the correct one. Watching the video was a great help especially with removing the knob. Plus the video showed a couple of tips. While not exactly the same timer it was very helpful. As a side note the timer arrived so fast I was shocked. A semi-difficult job made very easy. Read more

I had to replace the drive shaft and the lower agitator. The motor coupling was also worn out. The repair was challenging because I had to rebuild the gear box. This step was really messy and I had to wait for the liquid gasket to set prior to completing the repair. Cleaning and prep of all of the parts tripled the repair time. Read more
