This LED assembly serves as an indicator light on the range or cooktop, typically illuminating to show when a burner or surface element is active or still hot. It required that you take off the top of the stove. The micro switch is between the inside pan for the burners and the outer frame that holds the complete stove top in place. The removal of the screws and nuts that hold the switch in place was not to bad, but you had to make sure that the nuts did not drop down into the outer pan.
