This broil shield protects the oven interior above the broiler, helping direct heat and shielding the oven cavity from intense broiling temperatures for safer, more consistent broiling results. Durable metal construction resists warping. What it does:

  • Shields the oven top and components from direct broiler heat to prevent damage and discoloration
  • Helps maintain more even broiling by directing heat where food is placed
  • Reduces the risk of flare-ups reaching wiring or insulation behind the oven liner
  • Restores proper clearance between the burner and oven liner for safe operation

  • One broil shield
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power (and gas, if applicable) and allow the oven to cool completely before starting
  • Remove oven racks and access the broiler area to unfasten and replace the shield using basic hand tools
  • Inspect mounting tabs and surrounding liner; replace any damaged clips or screws as needed
