If your oven shuts off during baking, display is unresponsive, or timer stopped working, this electronic control board regulates heating and displays. 10-15 min DIY.
I needed to replace the light bulb in the oven, but forgot to turn off the breaker and unplug the oven (NEVER DO THIS)!!! There was a spark, and my control board was fried. The range top worked fine, so I knew if was the control board (if you no longer see the digital clock and none of the buttons are responsive, it's a pretty good indicator that it's toast). Simple fix. Buy this part, turn off the breaker, unplug the appliance, remove the backing from the unit, remove 4 screws, swap out the... Read more

Oven won't heat or ignite? A faulty gas control valve prevents gas flow to the burner. Moderate DIY repair restores reliable baking in 1-2 hours.
I found I could "rap" on my broiler/oven control valve and the oven would light, so I ordered a new control valve. Installing valve was not difficult except for having to lay on the floor and work in a small space. After installation, the oven lit only ONE time...and the boiler/oven problem was unchanged....broiler would light, but not oven. (Both incandescent pilots would glow brightly, so I did not suspect the igniter/pilot.) A friend suggested I swap ignitors anyway...and indeed, the... Read more

Gas range burner orifice holder directs gas flow from the valve to the stovetop burner. Replace if bent, broken, cracked, or missing for proper assembly.
A word of caution - Due to not fully analyzing the situation upfront, I ultimately replaced more parts than necessary. So don't forget to check the spark module (the little electronic gadget that powers all the igniters), rather than jumping to the conclusion that the individual igniter or associated igniter cord is the problem (as I mistakenly did). Still, even with those additional replacements, the repair proved quick and easy thanks to the wide stock and helpful videos of APP. Plus the... Read more
This small metal clip secures the surface burner igniter in place on a gas range cooktop. It ensures the igniter stays properly positioned near the burner so it can reliably spark and light the gas. Replace this clip if your igniter is loose, misaligned, or falls out of position, which can cause inconsistent ignition or failure to light.
Replaced spark module and all electrodes/igniters. Read more

This infinite switch controls the heat level of your range's surface cooking elements. It regulates power flow to provide different temperature settings from low simmer to high heat. Replace this part if a burner won't heat up, stays on high heat, or cycles on and off irregularly.
Ordered the element control for my dual front right burner and a infinite heat switch for my left front large single burner. Removed cooktop and followed the instructions video given with the parts online. Process was simple and everything on my cooktop is working like it is brand new. The only problem I have is with the online chat, save time by calling in and talking to someone as the people I talked to online (4 of them) are in such a hurry to get to the next call they gave conflicting part...
