Second repair after 10 years of service - igniter had cracked and spill overs were causing the others to misfire. This was a two-step process. I took apart the cooktop to see what parts were neded. Screws were all rusted, I had to drill ome out. The burner gaskets broke during the process and needed replacement. One of the burners had deformed due to excess heat. Rather than replacing the whole ignition switch harness, I cut out the broken switch and replaced it with Burner Ignition Switch WB24K10017 / AP2632529. Wire stripper, small wire nuts, and electrical tape were also used. At first, the new switch was constantly on when the knob was in the off position. The gas valve shaft has a "U" shape. The motor hummed but the fan didn't turn. Clearly the brushes were burned out. I ordered a new fan, although I had to talk to a human at ApplianceParts because my model was not listed. The part was a perfect fit. The only problem is determining how to remove the over to reach the back, no instructions anywhere online. But trial and error eventually worked. The replacement part was: CONTROL OVEN ERC3HP Part Number:WB27K10378 It looks like this superseded the original part, so maybe the mfg knew about this issue? I could not find disassembly instructions so just went straight into it.
