Burner won't spark or ignite? This ignition switch controls the spark module for gas range surface burners. Mounts on the valve assembly behind knobs.
Rather than replacing the whole ignition switch harness, I cut out the broken switch and replaced it with Burner Ignition Switch WB24K10017 / AP2632529. Wire stripper, small wire nuts, and electrical tape were also used. At first, the new switch was constantly on when the knob was in the off position. The gas valve shaft has a "U" shape. Majority of the time was removing and prepping the radiant cooktop with the protection tape and foam tape. Used the ordered replacement parts. Turns out that the old dual radiant element was cracked in multiple places and was truly functional. So ended up replacing it. The culprit was the switch.
