This locking clip secures a mating part—often a control knob—onto its shaft on select laundry appliances. Replacing a worn or missing clip restores a tight fit so controls stay in place and operate as intended during use.
- Locks a knob, lever, or similar component onto its shaft/post to prevent it from slipping off
- Maintains a firm fit to reduce wobble and intermittent control engagement
- Replace if the clip is bent, fatigued, corroded, or missing
- Typical symptoms include a knob that falls off, feels loose, or spins without engaging
What's included: Locking clip only Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance; turn off water supply for washers
- Pull the affected component straight off to access the clip
- Use needle-nose pliers to remove/install the clip; avoid deforming it
- Ensure the clip is fully seated; test for a snug fit before reassembly
