The Fresh Food Lever Assembly is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. It plays a crucial role in the operation of the refrigerator, enabling the smooth adjustment of settings within the fresh food compartment. This lever assembly is responsible for the user's ability to fine-tune the temperature and humidity levels, ensuring that the food stored inside remains fresh and well-preserved. For the same part in white, purchase WR11X10007.
Over time, the lever assembly may become worn or damaged due to regular use, accidental impacts, or environmental factors such as extreme temperatures or humidity.
Symptoms of a bad Fresh Food Lever Assembly include:
- Difficulty in adjusting the temperature or humidity settings.
- The lever becoming loose or unresponsive.
- Inconsistent temperature control within the fresh food compartment.
- Increased energy consumption as the refrigerator works harder to maintain settings.
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Fresh food door would not fully close Carl P. • Northfield , NJ • December 21, 2015
Replaced upper and lower thimble's, lever arm, cam closure. Door stop was not the problem, but ordered it and replaced it too. The door of course has to come off, remove the top hinge, and lift it away. Lubricated moving parts with silicone spray. Be sure and put the door back in the open position, so the lever arm and cam closure can properly interact, then close the door. Remove the plastic grate at the bottom to get at the lever arm. Presto. Problem gone. Don't put excessive weight...

The water coming from the ice maker and water dispensor had a foul odor and taste even after changing the filter David H. • Needham , MA • May 15, 2015
I replaced the supply line to the fridge - no change in taste. I replaced the MWF manifold and tubes, the water inlet valve and the water storage line. That did it, good tasting water again! The ice still has a bad taste, so I'll replace the supply tube from the valve to the ice maker. Overall, replacing these parts was easy and the videos from Appliance Parts Pros helped.

Ice (broken seal) fizzer light out due to ice then auger motor auger coupler and solenoid cube failure Damon B. • Tumwater , WA • December 19, 2015
This was a two and half year issue as different things failed at different times. I would get one part, then another would fail. Ultimately, I got to a point where what failed, I hadn't been ordered the part yet.
The seal on the freezer door took three bathing's before it plumped up and un-creased. The directions on the box it is shipped in said to heat the seal up in hot water then cool it down with tap water. I didn't need to do that. It took a lot of massaging of the seal, but...

The Fresh Food Door Closure Cam is an OEM replacement part for GE refrigerators. It is a component located inside the fresh food door that works together with the door latch mechanism. The door closure cam has a pivoting arm that engages the latch to securely fasten the door shut when closed. For the same part in white, purchase WR02X10637.

Symptoms of a bad door closure cam include:
- The refrigerator door not closing properly
- A sagging or misaligned door
- Unusual noises when opening or closing the door
- Gaps in the door seal leading to temperature inconsistencies
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Fix a refrigerator that won't defrost or has an iced-up evaporator coil. This defrost control board manages defrost cycles to prevent frost buildup.
Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You
The evaporator coil kept getting heavily frosted and the compressor ran almost continuously Reid D. • Santa Maria , CA • April 01, 2016
The defrost heater element looked good and had continuity. The defrost thermostats checked good, so that just left the Defrost Module as the likely suspect. I installed a new defrost control module and thermostats. The thermostats were inexpensive and the old ones could have been intermittent,
The only "tricky" part was finding out how to get to the back screw that holds the main control panel. Discovered that the return air duct surrounding the control panel needed to come off. It helps...

Broken fan blade Thomas H. • West Blocton , AL • April 21, 2014
I used a set of ring pliers to remove the old retaining ring, then spread the plastic ribs around the fan motor shaft with a small flat bladed screwdriver to ease removal of the old fan blade. I reversed the process to replace the blade, gently tapping a socket from my socket wrench set placed over the motor shaft and ribs with a small rubber mallet. I stopped when the shaft protruded about 1/8" beyond the plastic ribs of the new fan blade, then installed the new retaining clamp ring with the...

The Check Valve Flapper is an OEM replacement part for GE dishwashers. It is a small but crucial component located within the water inlet valve assembly. The check valve flapper regulates water flow into the dishwasher, allowing water to enter during the fill cycles but preventing backflow when the water is drained.
Causes of a bad check valve flapper can include wear and tear over time, mineral buildup that causes sticking, or damage to the flapper itself. This prevents the flapper from opening and closing as intended.
Symptoms of a bad check valve flapper include:
- Slow or incomplete filling of water
- Dripping or leaking water from the inlet area
- Error codes related to water issues
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore dishwasher models.

Pulled dishwasher from the cabinet and flipped onto its side. Easy access to sump and drain flapper valve that I also replaced. Rubber sump coming apart into soft pills & chunks and plugging spray arms. Better now but it's rediculous that GE would make components that dissolve this way.

Water leaking into fresh food compartment freezed frosted over Charles L. • Frankfort , IL • July 18, 2016
This is a 15 yr old Kenmore (GE) refrigerator with top mounted freezer...
I knew, for awhile, that I had a DEFROST problem. That was causing water to collect on the inside bottom of the fridge, under the veg./fruit bins. And then occasionally run out onto the kitchen floor if I didn't sop up the water inside. But I delayed the repair because of the hassle of emptying the food, top and bottom, and finding temporary homes for it all. Until I noticed 3 things happen in short order.
1)The water...
