I had found that the fan in the freezer was making a lot of noise. Turns out the shaft was loose, causing the flan blade to wobble.
Replaced the motor and fan and now it runs like a new unit.

The Check Valve Flapper is an OEM replacement part for GE dishwashers. It is a small but crucial component located within the water inlet valve assembly. The check valve flapper regulates water flow into the dishwasher, allowing water to enter during the fill cycles but preventing backflow when the water is drained.
Causes of a bad check valve flapper can include wear and tear over time, mineral buildup that causes sticking, or damage to the flapper itself. This prevents the flapper from opening and closing as intended.
Symptoms of a bad check valve flapper include:
- Slow or incomplete filling of water
- Dripping or leaking water from the inlet area
- Error codes related to water issues
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore dishwasher models.

Continuously plugged spray arms from disintegrated rubber sump Bruce B. • Tega Cay , SC • December 27, 2014
Pulled dishwasher from the cabinet and flipped onto its side. Easy access to sump and drain flapper valve that I also replaced. Rubber sump coming apart into soft pills & chunks and plugging spray arms. Better now but it's rediculous that GE would make components that dissolve this way.

Water leaking into fresh food compartment freezed frosted over Charles L. • Frankfort , IL • July 18, 2016
This is a 15 yr old Kenmore (GE) refrigerator with top mounted freezer...
I knew, for awhile, that I had a DEFROST problem. That was causing water to collect on the inside bottom of the fridge, under the veg./fruit bins. And then occasionally run out onto the kitchen floor if I didn't sop up the water inside. But I delayed the repair because of the hassle of emptying the food, top and bottom, and finding temporary homes for it all. Until I noticed 3 things happen in short order.
1)The water...

The Temperature Sensor Seal is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. This seal is designed to protect the temperature sensor from moisture and other environmental factors that could affect its accuracy and longevity. By providing a barrier against the harsh conditions within a refrigerator, such as humidity and temperature fluctuations, this seal ensures that the sensor can accurately monitor and control the refrigerator's internal temperature.
Causes of a malfunctioning Temperature Sensor Seal can include wear and tear over time, degrading the seal's effectiveness. Physical damage like tears or punctures can allow moisture to reach the sensor. Improper installation may leave gaps or loose areas around the sensor, compromising the seal.
Symptoms of a bad Temperature Sensor Seal include:
- Inaccurate temperature readings.
- Condensation or frost near the sensor location.
- Frequent cycling or unusual patterns in the refrigerator's cooling process.
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Fresh food side temp display says 37 degrees but inside ff side measures over 40 degrees. John N. • Southlake , TX • February 03, 2018
This fridge has had a problem of ice building up around evaporator coil in fresh food side. Wife (she HATES this thing) says it's done this from day one; 10 years. GE guy says all these models do this and there's no fix for it, so we have clean out the ice periodically... Like the 1940s pre auto defrost.
Now with the issue of FF side temp too highi assumed the ice had built up around FF evaporator coil preventing proper cooling, but AppliancePartsPros.com suggested the FF temp thermistor may...

Missing hardware for fridge doors Anita K. • Crossville , TN • July 03, 2015
We bought a used fridge and forgot to get the hardware to mount the doors. Looked up the model on your website. Using the pictures I was able to order just the parts I needed and not to duplicate anything (or leave anything out!). The parts arrived and because I watched the "how to" video I knew to use the "trick" to hold the doors up while attaching the hardware. Had the doors mounted in less than 15 minutes!.. Thanks

The freezer was icing up around the door preventing it from closing all of the way John H. • Blooming Grove , TX • May 26, 2015
I checked the freezer and found the door gasket was damaged. When the parts arrived, I checked them for a good fit and the attachment method. Due to past experience of replacing door gaskets, I was expecting a lot of screws that would have to be removed and replaced. To my surprise, the gaskets pressed in place without tools and had a good and secure fit. The instructions the came with the gaskets suggested the hot water be used as needed to remove any kinks that might cause a poor fit. I...
