Ge WR60X187 Condenser Fan Motor OEM Part

I googled the issue and read several articles. Most started with cleaning the coils (which mine are on the bottom) (19yr old Kenmore 363.9557812). I had not really ever cleaned them well, vacuuming did little. I had to remove the cardboard cover off the back of the frig, and blew them clean (front to back). Once that was done, I started cleaning from the back and noticed the fan wasn't turning week (condensor fan). Blew it out too, have it a good soon with a pencil, it puffed out a bunch of dust and started to work. Within about 30 mins the frig, was performing normally again. But the fan stopped over night. I went to Walmart and bought a small $15 personal fan to put behind the fridge on high (faced at compressor and coils) and that "fixed" the issue (cardboard still off). This worked until I had a chance to buy the part I needed. I found Appliancepartspros by searching for a video on how to resolve the part, they also ended up having the best price, even if I used a coupon code on the other sites. Shipping was cheap and it was here in 3 days. Powered off frig... My old fan motor has a large torx screws holding it in place. The new one came with flat heads. I had to disassemble before removing ft from the back of the frig, due to space. I used the old screws and the old nut to reattach the fan blade (motor does not come with blades,but easy to swap). Power cord did not click into place on fan motor, but does fit firmly. I out the fan blades on backwards the first time, but its working great. It is louder than the original, but that could be because it wasn't working right for some time.

It was simple! Unplug the refrigerator first! I took off the back cover and you could see the fan exposed and I took out the 3 screws that held the fan in place and disconnected the plug on the fan and I had to loosen another screw that allowed room to move the fan out of the assembly and I took off the blade and put it on the new condenser fan motor and screwed the fan motor back in place and snapped the plug back into the new motor and tightened the one screw that allowed me to make room to get the fan out in the first place and put the back cover on and plugged in the refrigerator and everything is now working! Ice cold in refrigerator now!

The entire replacement took less than 30 minutes. The replacement part was exactly like the original part and all the necessary parts were included. I also watched the video on the web site and it was almost exactly like my task and all when very smoothly.

With some help from my brother over the phone I figured out that the condenser fan motor was bad so the system was over heating and shutting down. I found Appliance Parts Pros online, found the part I needed right away but then called to ask about their return policy, just in case the new fan motor didn't fix the problem. Needless to say, I was very impressed so I ordered the part on a Sunday evening and it was delivered on Wednesday. I had the new motor installed the same evening I received the part and the fridge is working like new again. A friend told me of a local store that would have the motor I needed and I wouldn't have to wait. I looked the part up online and found that the part, plus sales tax, was $60 more expensive than the cost of the part from Appliance Parts Pros, including shipping. It was worth waiting two days.

After removing back panel to find the fan was clogged with dust and pet hair I vacuumed and for a few days thought that took care of it. Then found the motor was not running most of the time and would be very hot to the touch. Priced the motor on various sites and local locations. Could not beat the price. Ordered on a Monday, delivered on Wednesday afternoon. (that was standard delivery). Motor was exact fit and cured the problem. So glad I found your webpage and watched the video.
