The Left Rod & Spring Assembly is an OEM part for GE washing machines. This assembly is designed to support and stabilize the washing machine tub during the wash and spin cycles. The rod and spring work together to absorb shocks and vibrations, ensuring smooth operation and reducing noise.
Over time, the left rod and spring assembly can become worn out or damaged. Causes of a bad assembly can include regular wear and tear, heavy or unbalanced loads, or damage from impacts. A faulty rod and spring assembly can lead to increased vibrations, noise, and instability during operation.
Symptoms of a bad Left Rod & Spring Assembly include:
- Excessive shaking or vibrating during the wash or spin cycles
- Loud banging or thumping noises
- The washing machine tub being off-balance or misaligned
- The washer moving or "walking" during operation
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
