After removing the bottom basket, you remove the entire drawer including the door together with it, by using a screwdriver to depress the white clip on each drawer slide which releases the slide from body of the freezer. Once you pull our the entire drawer, you will need to drill out a rivet to remove the old slide. You will need a rivet gun to attach the new slide. Read more

Even though the fasteners probably only cost a few cents, I had to buy a new mullion for my fridge. $80! $80 because two nylon fasteners were poorly designed. Replacing the part was easy once I paid the *$80* for the new part. Unscrewed the old mullion. Slipped on the new $80 part. Read more

After checking the suggested fixes and parts on Appliance Parts Pros, I ordered the defrost thermostat and evap motor for my refrigerator, a Kitchen Aid KSSC42QTS00. Installation was very easy, simply emptying the freezer and removing the access panel in the back bottom half. Upon getting everything open, I found out that the existing evap motor was working fine, so I didn't install that part. I did install the defrost thermometer, which was a 5-minute process. Checked and found the evaporator frozen causing the fan to stop working. Took the interior panels off and applied a blow dryer to the ice, once the ice melted I cut the tabs on the grommet holding the fan since everything is thin plastic and replaced the grommet and fan. Placed everything back and found no further issues. Tools I used were a small flat head screwdriver to pry the panels off and a 1/4 socket to remove the center drawer (4), water filter cover (2), and the ice maker (2). Not too... Read more

I replaced the auger motor. You have to remove complete ice maker. Everything is just like help video to do except yoke dispenser. I watched video several times. Yoke will not just tap loose, after 30 minutes of tapping, I was using screwdriver to brace. I used a Dremel tool to cut part of shaft, came off easy then. After that, the repair went great. I have ice, I noticed motor I received was stronger. Parts came on time stated and worked great. I will order again on other repairs. Read more
