Replace a non-heating or broken 6-inch cooktop burner element. This plug-in surface element fixes uneven heating. DIY-friendly, 30-minute repair.
Going on line and viewing your website, you provided a very easy way to get me to a picture that was exactly what I wanted with the exact (old style) connections. I had previously gone to Home Depot twice, and I still did not get the correct burner that I needed. Your website was great, I should have gone there first. I used the part that I received from AppliancePartsPROS.com and replaced the defective, old and non-working surface element. It was easy, I used a screw driver to snap off a... Read more
Range burner not heating or heating unevenly? This 8-inch surface element restores proper cooking heat. Easy DIY installation in under 15 minutes.
Replace burner and receptacle. The product arrived promptly after order and the receptacle came in a factory Whirlpool bag, indicating it was a genuine Whirlpool part. The burner did not have such identification, but works very good. I've placed 3 orders with these folks for various broken appliances, and each one has worked as advertised and performs like new. Oven not heating or reaching temperature? This bake heating element distributes even heat for proper baking. DIY-friendly repair with basic tools.
Easy fix. Both elements replaced while I was at it, so all new. Figured if one went the other was going to follow. CIRCUIT BREAKER OFF. Removed the back metal panel with my nut driver for the hex head screws. Note where the panel may slip under tabs for support. Remove slip on electrical connections on upper and lower elements. May need a pliers. (I did not want to just pull the element and the wires into the oven with the element and remove them there, like a technician would do. After 15... Read more

Replaced the element. 1st- Turn off the power to the appliance. The cook top is held on with two screws - access the screws by opening the oven door. Oven not broiling or browning food? The broil element provides high heat at the top of the oven. Simple 5-10 minute DIY fix with basic tools.
Would advise before doing this repair to watch the video for it. It is not a plug in connection anymore like older ovens. The key is to keep the connecting wires from the oven from falling or pulling into the inner wall of the oven. The wires may not come very far out away from the wall of the oven so make sure to secure them. The video shows a good way to do that. If you have an in wall oven this is very important because it would hard and time consuming to pull the oven out of the wall to... Read more

Ordered Bake Element, Y04100019 (Whirlpool AP4283614) to replace a broken bake element on my 30-year old Jenn-Air Model S125 Downdraft Slide-in electric range. Received the element very quickly but it had been damaged in shipping. Called AppliancePartsPros to report this and they quickly shipped another element - very easy process. Burner not heating? This surface heating element restores stovetop burners. Updated design eliminates the insulation ring. DIY install under 1 hour.
Range has no model ID plate anywhere. Flip off electric at circuit breaker box. Opened top of range and noted details of the faulty burner, including confirm that outer coil was fried. The maker info on back of element was useless in finding replacement: more useful was general shape, and the numbers around edge on back. Close up range, since low heat element still working. Turns out all Maytag double oven Gemini ranges use the same hi-low element, but double check appearance just in... Read more
Oven won't heat or takes too long to preheat? A failed lower bake element is the most common cause. Straightforward DIY repair in under 30 minutes.
In the middle of Christmas baking, I noticed that it was taking a really long time to bake bread. Since I had already done 5 batches and the timing was always the same, I knew when I had to add 20 min, something was wrong. My oven thermometer (I bought at target) no longer worked so it was hard to tell the exact temperature. First, I went and bought a new thermometer to see the actual temp, then I set the oven to 350 degrees and checked to see what the thermometer was showing. It was almost 50... Read more
