This was a very simple repair. It was done in about an hour. It involves disconnecting the dishwasher, emptying the water from the inside, taking it out and flipping it over, and replacing the diverter motor. This repair is done on the underside of the dishwasher, nothing to disconnect inside (just remember to remove the baskets). DIY, changed motor and sump. Put a dab of valve lubricant on seal. Wet outer seal of sump to get it to seat in bottom of tub. Cleaned electrical connectors corroded by leak. Coated connectors with dielectric grease. Had to buy additional clamp. Two clamps came in the sump package but both fit the smaller hose only. Neither fit the large hose. I wish the correct clamps were included. Home improvement store clamp is a little too wide to fit between ridges in large hose. Read more

I took and ohm meter to the heating element and figured out that was ok. Went to the thermostat and it was toast. Easy fix. Read more

Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle. Read more

First determined drain discharge hose was clear. Turned of power to dishwasher. I did not find it necessary to remove the dishwasher. I simply removed the lower service panel at the floor and was able to easily remove the defective pump, unplug it, replace the small rubber check valve flapper before the pump inlet and reinstall the new pump assembly.
