Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit). I ordered the door hinge cam kit, both the hinge, lower and upper cam. I followed videos found on the web. I would recommend taking the refrigerator door off by removing the upper hinge bracket and lifting the door off the lower hinge. It was much easier to replace the hinge and cam with the door off. One video suggested using Di-electric grease to lubricate the cam surfaces. Read more

I replaced all parts on the bottom of the door to make it smooth to open. It was easy and took about 15 mins total. Read more

Replaced the upper and lower cam riser (plastic parts) on the lower hinge. APP's YouTube video was the reason I decided I could do this myself. My daughter helped. :) Tip: replace both the upper and lower even though the lower usually breaks first. The upper will sustain damage from the jagged edges of the broken lower one. I also bought the replacements for the refrigerator side. They cost less than the freight charge and seems like they will fail eventually since they're the same... Read more

I ordered the door stops (or door cams) for both the fridge and freezer and the hinge bearings. I figured I might as well do both if I'm going to do one. Very easy. Watched a YouTube video. Got a link to the site to order the parts. All you need is a screwdriver and ratchet. Done in 30 minutes. Read more
